TFL board came with bad battery

What like bad BMS, cell issues or do they not know specifically?

@notsure Saw this comment, could be a hint.

Saw another vid where nothing would work, even connecting the charger just holds a green light.

@Lia or any other non US customer waiting on GT: I spoke to FM (about my cancellation and refund as the mail person was avoiding to give answers).
A very kind lady told me that they are having issues with international orders as FED- fuckin' -EX was giving them trouble. So if your date gets pushed this is the reason, FM seriously trying to fix that. They could not even print a return label so i can return my received accessories at this moment.

FEDEX are complete aholes i can tell you. They charged me 43% of the total accessories price for importing it. Usually it's max half of that with DHL or USPS.

EDIT: imagine if i had continued with GT order that would be another €950 on customs taken by Fedex.

@maciak Ouch that bites... Is getting a refund simple enough or are FM difficult about it? I might reconsider and order through Ride & Glide since they still advertise £2160 with a pre-order cost of £750 upfront (the rest taken after).

I only got rail guards so I avoided the import charges on those, dreading what would be £800 extra if your estimates are correct.

@lia By phone they were really helpful. They transfered the refund immediately for the GT. Shipping+ accessories they will refund when they receive it back. They will send me a shipping label for that, luckily i still have a box . This latter has to be seen, they might charge a 15% restock fee on the accessories.

Fedex behaviour could be different for UK. My estimate is based on what they charged for the maghandle pro i received in Nov, and the €250 worth of accessories i received this week. They are simple thieves.

Edit: just for clarification. I ordered all items at once, as bundle.

@maciak Might hold firm and see what happens. After some thought I can't rely on Ride & Glide to get me a board in a timely manner. I ordered a set of PintX bumpers from them over 2 months ago and they arrived this morning. Cancel and start now might see me at the back of the queue + delays D:

Thanks for the heads up regardless, given me something to think about while I chase this elusive pushback fairy keeping my shipment at arms length.

@lia I posted this in my local FB group.
" I went for a short ride on the "apex" setting, I have no idea what that is, but the torque is there. I can accelerate faster than my JW Xr and can fly up a fairly steep hill without the minor surging on the Xr. The treaded rounded tire is nimble like a Pint, the concave footpads feel good, but I do miss my Kush Hi. A modded XR is just as capable, at least for a person not carrying a too much weight. I will hold on to my XRs until there are no more parts. The Pint type mag handle actually helps carrying the GT with the extra weight."

@lia Very clean inside. I made some crude measurements of the motor width and it looks promising for the XR rotor exchange. There's a bit of variation in my measurements, but that may be due to the different contours of the hubs.
I will pull the motor apart after riding the GT a bit to make sure there are no warranty problems. I have a Xr rotor with a fresh Hoosier ready to swap over.

@lemur Nice one taking those measurements. The hub plates will probably differ in depth, the Pint and XR ones are pretty different.

Hope you have a good ride out. No rush to swap that hub since it sounds like these stock tires are built to last.

@lemur I am very interested in your findings. When you do, can you also check to see if the GT motor plate fits on the XR/Plus Hub?

@notsure Still going to wait and base my opinions on what I get before watching these vids. I don't do tricks and speed isn't a concern for me so will see how I feel it rides really.

I expect it to ride differently but between weight, ride modes not being alike and the footpads altered I expect a lot of people won't truly lock in with it initially. Might explain a lot of the "wobbly" comments I've been seeing. I mean if anyone's gonna complain if it's wobbly it'll be me lol.

On another note I've been seeing a lot of ghosting posts crop up so might be worth tying a lead to the board in case it spots a squirrel as you dismount ;)

@lia I'm the same kind of rider . . . just carving around 17 mph, mostly pavement and hard packed dirt and gravel, no tricks. Been riding the Pint X for a few days now and it definitely feels wobbly compared to my XR and I have a treaded Hoosier on instead of the round tire it came with. I really don't mind it TOO much and I'm starting to get used to keeping the speed under 15 mph with the aggressive pushback in the upper 16+ mph range. It's still fun, but not AS fun as my XR. Sounds like the GT will have more power/torque than the XR along with the carvey/wobbliness of the Pints. I'm a bit (ok, a lot) heavier than you at 185+ lbs, so hoping I can squish down the tire a bit so it's not as round, yet still get the 20+ mile range Jake's buddy in the video is getting (he's about the same weight as I am).

I can't help but watch the Float Life videos as I live right there and they're riding the GT on the EXACT paths that I ride (so fun to watch) . . . albeit, way more technically than me and hitting bumps and curbs that I simply go around!

                                            GT-S > GT > Pint X > XR > +
