RE: Future Motion announcement in twelve hours
@onedangts My rationale is three-fold:
Firstly, I've been in the market for a new board for a long while now. I have family that likes to ride them when they visit, and my XR and Pint just aren't enough for everyone. I'm already pushing the limits on my XR so the time has come to upgrade, if only for safety's sake.
Secondly, I'm not really into tinkering, at least not enough to start a project board that I will have to maintain over time. I've got work and school, and between them both, my free time is at a premium.
Thirdly, the Funwheel has yet to develop a complete kit that suits my needs. The Floatwheel by comparison is very enticing, and I am still considering getting one, but the lead time and method of purchase isn't quite refined enough yet. The fragile plastic components also gave me pause.
Considering my use case and preferences, the GTS makes sense. I wanted something fast and reliable that my family and I can ride confidently at speed on mostly paved roads. The GT platform has an active aftermarket, which continues to develop, so I made my choice.

Fantastic eFoils and Where to Find Them
Something like 80% of the world's population live within 10 miles of a coast line...
This guy rides onewheels too.
These appear to be the most established brands on the market today:

@NotSure I'd love to sell these or partner with FM to bring these to market.
They would if they know what's good for 'em!

RE: Cast 5" MTE hub now available from TFL..
@onedangts said in Cast 5" MTE hub now available from TFL..:
Give me one of those 2 or even a treaded Burris (which I think might be available in 5") and I may not be able to resist pulling the trigger for the cast 5 for my GTS!
So does that mean the straight magnets work in a GTS?? Cuz Jeff proclaims "Only for GT!" in the video... but thats one blue ass onewheel logo on the donor hub!
We need answers people!!
Also, i think 'more sidewall' provides a really unique opportunity for innovation. if u can hit a 4" deep pothole of concerning width at speed because of clever tire engineering, it would be a big deal! A new standard.

Cast 5" MTE hub now available from TFL..
Also available are the long awaited N52 magnets... Except... They're not curved!!
So naturally you might be wondering, 'if my magnets are currently curved':
- Can I replace them with straight ones?
- Are these just labeled differently?
- Does that feature even matter?
- Why so many magnets?
These are all good questions which I have no f-ing clue how to answer. The latest hub swap video appears to show a gts hub, which perhaps says- maybe... Let's channel the experts...

RE: ONEWHEEL S-SERIES RALLY BOARD
@loaffette said in ONEWHEEL S-SERIES RALLY BOARD:
@sirgu yeah. 450 to get rails put on and releveled is a slap in the face. Not a huge one, but still a slap
Or perhaps a temporary measure until they can sell leveling kits?? maybe that's wishful thinking... it's a potential revenue stream. i get it. I understand the rationale too.
That said - I hoped they learned a lesson about working with small niche consumer markets. Shit went sideways real quick last time huh?! lol...
We tend to live and die by our markets, not the other way around...
