Get to the choppa! -
@hanahsdax That's some serious backup for when you run out of battery. Nice to know you always have a lift home ;)

Been so busy with things I forgot to share this pic from a few weeks back.
Was looking for thumbnail material and stumbled across it.
-
@lia might be my favorite
-
@notsure It's a very pretty location. Stream running through a nearby town that caught my eye as I crossed the bridge that sits behind the shot.
-
@lia That spot looks so lush. Great picture.

A luscious ride out earlier with some pretty cloud formations coupled with a setting sun.
My fave hill, they've recently put "no cycling" signs up around it but I assume that's because the kids would usually ride their bikes up and down the hill itself and damage the mound. It is after all a historic monument that only recently got work done to it so it could be enjoyed. Prior to restoration it looked pretty bleak as did the area in general.
Sun just set behind a large weather front. Sadly missed it still poking out because I couldn't haul ass down to a decent spot that wasn't construction. You can still just see residual light bursting up from it though :)
Did come across a small group of baby bunnies but they were so skittish that I couldn't grab a pic with them and the board in frame D: Also a nice lady walking her 2 lil doggos got distracted by me and 1 that was off lead just stayed staring a me as I sat at a bench. Eventually I had to go over to it and have it follow me back to it's owner xD
Had a small chat once me and the doggo caught up, the locals have nicknamed me "Catwoman" which came from the local Facebook group where they talk about me a fair bit apparently. It's a private group so I can't peak at it but my sis joined and had a look, supposedly a lot of it is positive :)

i bet everyone is just talking about how all the buildings are the same color. I'll send paint if u send formula. ill throw in some grass seed for that dirt thing too...
Notice how i used the verb 'throw' in loo of 'toss'? That's cuz im super fancy.

I'll have you know we sometimes use different shades of brick here in 'Ngland ;)
Honestly though some different colours would be nice. If anyone paints their house it's usually just white. Considering it's pride month I'd be down with rainbows down the high street :D

An adventure around the nearby park riding single track and trying not to hit roots!
-
@cheppy44 I'm getting picnic vibes with this one. Love that sticker too~
-
@lia oo a picnic would be nice!

Rumor has it he bought a used XR with his settlement money. -
87km ride today. Wanted to finally ride all the way up to Market Harborough and back like I tried last year. I made it there and kinda made it back. More on that later.
Not a train person but I do admire the old relics being kept alive at the restored heritage railyard along the way.
One of the many rest areas on the way, it's a stupidly long trail with extremely mixed terrain from paved to loose large gravel >.>
First of 2 tunnels, this one I made it through before needing to turn around.
This one was inspired by one of The Wheel Of Oz's pics, this angle is pretty cool! He has an eye for nice angles :)
Second tunnel was less successful. Mounted the headlight and found the floor was nothing but water saturated silt that had a bizarre traction property to it. When dry it makes it feel like your tire is at like 5psi and super squishy. When wet it lets you roll fine but the moment you tilt the board it looses all lateral traction and slides. Had to walk the last half but managed the return attempt but by going 2mph and literally shifting my body weight to counter a slide.
On the way back, one last nice pic before I started min-maxing my ride style to get the most out of my battery.
Split the ride into 2 so I could be childish and leave my mark on the map elsewhere. I take it I'm not the only one that leaves ride markers like they're marking their territory right?
Keen eyed among you may notice the return didn't end back in Towcester. Well... funny story. The way my pack is setup I get around 1km per 1% IF I am riding economically. It dips if I ride fast and even more on really bad terrain. 10% on the display and 7km to go but I had a huge hill to go and I likely wasn't going to make it to the top to easymode it all the way back.
As luck would have it a small car was parked up at a junction and was giving me the "come over here" finger wiggle thing. "Hey I see you riding around all the time, are you going to Towcester?"
What... What unimaginable luck. Holy... HOW!
Now I didn't know this guy, but putting aside the don't get in a strangers car rule I bundled myself in the back seat and off we went. He was really nice and we spoke a bit on the way over. Hope I get to see him again and hang out. Maybe repay him for the unimaginable godsend of a hand when I was in dire need of it especially because my legs were done the moment I opened my door. -

From the looks of it on your board, that would not be a fun place to fall off the board!
-
@onedangt I fell off twice D:
Thankfully I didn't fall over, just managed to step off as the board barrelled into the sludge.
