jOneDanXR Ready for a New Home

Edit: Sold to a lucky forum member!
Well, I've ridden my XR once since I got my GT and, being someone that mostly cruises on pavement or hard packed dirt and gravel, it just can't keep up with the power, torque, speed, and range of the GT. I've decided it's time it is given a second chance to be ridden harder, modded, or even parted out (not by me though, lol).
Here are the specifics:
- 7128 original owner miles.
- Never nosedived (did that all on my prior +), but was saved 2 or 3 times by the installed fangs.
- 4209 hardware (originally 4208, FM upgraded it to fix the bluetooth issue).
- Original battery replaced (by FM) due to bad cell(s) at 1900 miles ... second battery still going strong (I'm 185 and get about 15 miles range).
- Hoosier treaded whisper T2 tire installed around 5500 miles. Rode a Hoosier treaded v1 for over 5000 miles before installing this one.
- FM surestance pro rear footpad (used original included as well).
- Mag handle pro installed (after 2 walks of shame, put it on and never had to actually use it!).
- Rambo real carbon fiber magnetic fender, one of the originals when he first started making them. In very good shape.
- Replacement bumpers recently installed.
- New TFL float pads recently installed.
- Blue fo-carbon fiber rail guards installed since purchase.
- Stand and charger (original, with plug) included.
- Original box (with matching serial number) and shipping box.
- Sharka pineapple sticker!!!
Would love someone to purchase it and make it their own, but I'm not emotional, so it's up for grabs. It's in great shape with high miles, but still rides like new, so not sure what to ask. Will consider all offers, but hoping someone on this forum can put it to good use! Not posting anywhere else right now. Oh yeah, I'm in CA, so shipping is on the buyer.
-
@onedangt do you know how much you want for it?
-
@ed_co Yeah, I'm not sure . . . there are lower mileage ones that are all beat up going for some relatively high dollars. Hoping with the condition it's in and all the extras I'd get at least $500. But again, it's a hard number to come up with.
Thoughts anyone?
-
@onedangt if it was in Europe I would get it for sure now. I think after the good life you gave him, he deserves a good rest of his life.
Due to the battery, send it to Europe is impossible and even without the battery it makes it very expensive to send, otherwise I would get it straight away, sir.
-
@onedangt $500 is too low, at least $800 -1000 and that's on the low side for a 4209.
-
@onedangt -- Your OneDanXR is well worth much more -- so this is just an opening bid. At $500 plus shipping I am in. Someone had better outbid me, because if I get it, the board will not look so nice for very long.
-
@onedangt This thing is worth $1,500US. I hope that is what you get for it. If my wife wouldn't freak out, I would be offering you that much on the spot. I mean, the motor is worth more than $500 by itself right now.
-
@biell Thx for the info! My usual thoughts are that the amount you can sell something for is EXACTLY the amount someone is willing to pay you for it! I'll give the forum a few days and see what happens. At least if someone from here picks it up, I know it won't be some newb that'll go out and crash it and hurt themselves. The only other way I'd feel comfortable selling it is locally on OfferUp or something, where I could meet face to face and take cash.
-
@onedangt -- The only modifications I would make to the OneDanXR are adding a BadgerSense, so I could push the speed without worry, and installing fresh bearings. Content with my Pluses, mostly I am curious -- my total time riding XRs so far is less than five minutes. To be sure, for the OneDanXR you will likely have an excited buyer even at hundreds of dollars more -- so I am not really getting my hopes up. But I am surprised nobody else here has jumped in so far to add the OneDanXR to their collection!
Edit: Oh too, I would Badger the board. The climate here is much wetter than the climate there.

I dunno man, I think I might have gone through a few edges of puddles over the years!

Me too . . . but then, the forum population isn't all that large yet.

Honestly surprised it wasn't snapped up already tbf too. The temptation is high but with 4 ½ boards already and international shipping I feel it would be better with another rider.

im not in the xr mkt for i purchased one 9 mos ago n i do have the chip to jailbreak it if need be.
-
@notsure I have way too many boards ....
-
So I have a local offer for $800. If someone on this forum wants to match that, I'd rather sell it here. I'll give it the weekend, so no rush.
Can't say how much I appreciate this forum ... Thanks @lia and everyone! -
Thx @S-Leon, can't wait to see OneDanXR get born again!
-
@onedangt -- The idea of sharing the BadgerSense did not sit well with my Plus, so I went ahead and ordered another for the OneDanXR -- and a BadgerSight HUD to use with my full face helmet for both.
...Cheaper than a boat... cheaper than a motorcycle... cheaper than a new or antique car... cheaper than a private aircraft... cheaper than a suburban lifestyle... cheaper than many other indulgences...

Out of curiosity, does the BadgerSense have a smart watch app (Apple or Android)? I love having my battery and speed on my watch so I can glance at it whenever I want.
-
@onedangt -- As far as I know, no, the BadgerSense does not connect to a smart phone.
How the BadgerSight HUD display compares to the BadgerSense strip LED display -- where the red threshold (and/or yellow zone) on the BadgerSight kicks-in in relation to the percent of red on the BadgerSense -- is of interest to me. Late next week should tell, with my Plus, the OneDanXR, or both.

Woohoo!

@onedangt -- OneDanXR arrived! It is a nice looking board. I took a couple photos of the unboxing, and will try to post them sometime. Right on the charger it went, and then out to the Greenway for an introductory run. For the next run I will put the BadgerSense on it, and push the yellow a little. Oh! And on the ride I did see a milksnake about two feet long. An adventure!
