Jeff and Robert rip the GT-S apart and seem pretty impressed by the changes and design that FM put into it. Probably some cool ideas to inspire the VESC folks on this forum as well.

      GT-S > GT > Pint X > XR > +

@notsure I kinda just wanted to see what they'd changed.
I wonder if they'll do similar with the PintX. Lil pocket rocket.

@lia I was cringing when they were poking their fingers in the bms area.
I don't think they know that "voltage'' symbol and orange cable means high voltage that can kill, all Jeff said was "cool orange cable".
Orange cables in hybrid and ev cars means " don't touch, don't probe, don't disconnect".
I worked as a government certified auto mechanic for road service CAA -Canadian Auto Association and we had auto makers put on seminars on their ev's all saying don't f with orange cables.
I know there's a argument about AC high voltage is more dangerous than DC high voltage eg. Edison vs Tesla, however I would be really careful with high voltage of any sort.

@lemur I actually didn't know about the orange cable bit but the hazard icon was kinda a big hint.
Nice to see the motor cable got a bit more length supposedly.

Caps I was a bit surprised on. They keep going back and forth between SMC and through hole with those.

Me too, I was thinking, YIKES! Especially with those big caps right there. Good to know about the orange cable ... they seemed to think it was just a color choice, lol.

@lemur honestly I think they were just so excited that they forgot that thr battery was high voltage.

They probably should have known better, seeing that Robert most likely seems very fluent in circuit design (Badger sense, surestop, ect) but I think he too just got excited and forgot about safety

Also I don't know why but when they showed off the locking XT-60, my brain immediately went "I bet I could lick that!"
I think I need to see psychiatrist after that thought

113 volts?! I could lick that!
