Floatwheel is back...
-
I'm curious as to what the top speed of the adv model. The fastest I've seen a OW go was a GT and that was 30 MPH, and that was probably just a one-of-a-kind model, probably a good battery/controller/magic that board came with
It would be dangerous but FUN to see a OW go 40, or even 50
MAYBE EVEN ON THE HIGHWAY -
ok so apparently the top speed seems to be 22mph
I remember hearing somewhere that in Texas if something with a motor goes < and/or = 20 MPH, then it's legally defined as a vehicle of some kind...
probably why OW never makes/advertises a board that goes or exceeds 20mph -
@loaffette usually works in classes. in ny class 3 requires a valid license but no registration.
-
Looking forward to the Floatwheel torpedos... Wonder if they learned anything from the GT front concave footpads...
-
@lia did you have to stop the video and do a happy dance when you heard the part about test pads?
-
@biell
Am the happy, test paaaaads~
Was there any mention of an actual schematics coming soon though? -

I would not be too surprised if those will be featured in course of time. Because high skilled people would map these down anyways. Dude speaks about everything with open cards. Simply marvelous.

@samuraipunch
Me and another friend at my college jokingly call the GT "defective missiles" -

How much praise about transparency can one video gain?* rhetorical question
It's all earned for sure. -
@sirgu nice!
Cant' wait to see what the floatwheels, however it sucks that they are having shipping delays..
-
Floatwheel ADV Pro ride video NOT by Tony/Floatwheel itself.
-
Floatwheel boards are shipping apparently. Someone in one of my ridegroups has ordered one. I may try and get a few minutes of riding on it before I head to college in less than a month
-
We don't have proper sub-section yet, hence I'll post it here.
Apparently Floatwheels hitting all the places throughout the world now. Techies putting them on tests already.
(Maybe it's already viral in VESC Discord groups. I really dunno. Tho, guessing some folks over here might find it interesting as well.) -

i'm sorry is that a DYNO SETUP?

So, on the Vescify discord, Surfdado claims that his floatwheel died to some water damage
he says the enclosure and battery box are bone dry, but the motor plug let water in, rust on the hub and a dead ESC
they also said the bearings were crap.

-
@loaffette Surfdado mentioned the water issue in his latest video but he states at 21:52 that a metal clip securing the plug was missing so maybe that was how it got in and ruined the hall detection.

So Floatwheel made a post on their YouTube, talking about their next boards and such
Here it is
