My little contribution to this off-topic:
switch = opposite to your natural stance
fakie = riding battery side forward, sensors back (while feet remaining on same pads respectively your stance type)
[While in skateboarding these mean higher science ...]
... in onewheeling implementing both of these terms is somewhat comprehensible.
I wouldn't see 'switch' in snowboarding due to boots clamped onto board. And I wouldn't imagine 'fakie' with surfboard due to its hydrodynamycs. But I might be short-sighted as not deeply involved in either sports.
@hanahsdax Road marking colors are notorious for having different kind of grip at some speeds. - Was he challenging himself with holding that line after trail riding with you?
Some spring flower vibe been taking over here.
Why not?

... actual schematics coming soon though?
I would not be too surprised if those will be featured in course of time. Because high skilled people would map these down anyways. Dude speaks about everything with open cards. Simply marvelous.
(Not gonna make new topic. Hope following fits in here.)

My mother got in habit calling it "rull" ever since saw it and didn't let loose of it.
Whilst meaning a lot of things .. 'rull' is somewhat short derivation of word 'teerull' ... which in turn means road roller compactor in english.
I suppose the look of fenderless stock Vega MBM had something to do with it.
EDIT: She is 78 yrs by now.
Awesome!
If Bodhi does not reflect some bit of it in next 'FIRST FRIDAYS' episode, then I really don't know what does!
Couple of things are upside down. One apparent, the other a bit hidden.
Helmets deserve their own topic anyways in the long term.
The following is a bit too bicycle oriented, but still worth checking out. It's not my finding so I'm quoting OP from Facebook :
" ... Virginia Tech did impact testing on 188 helmets. Interestingly enough, two popular helmets among Onewheelers (Thousand and Triple 8 ) were among some of the poorest performers. ... "
Kind of feels fitting to this old topic. Although this one is not official collab or whatsoever.
I were browsing this past newsletter by 'Onewheel HQ' and one odd fact caught my eye. One of their latest Instagram videos (also YT short) is featuring heavily modified XR for showing off onewheel capabilities on winter shredding. Basically this board is about ~75% of TFL's aftermarket parts in appearance. And just a motor hub their own.
I always had a hunch someone on FM marketing department takes good care of not letting any other aftermarket parts slip into their own social media. Or .. at least .. not to stay on focus for an undeservedly long time. Either it being their YT podcasts, short vids, IG clips, newsletter thumbnails etc.
(With really the only exeption being "FIRST FRIDAYS" hosted by Bodhy, where sometimes unedited videoclips sent by riders are presented.)
-- What you guys are thinking? Is this a slight move towards building bridges? Or FM just letting loose some of their fundamental approaches on marketing?
Welcome to fam!

... material people use on surfboards/paddle boards for the Onewheel grip? That rubber diamond shaped traction pad type thing?
Sounds familiar to EvoGRIPā¢ Diamond Stud ?
StickyFeet -- they've been trending throughout various media platforms lately. Somewhat 'next level' new solution after numerous dif griptapes, foam-pads etc.
(No personal experience, tho.)
I tend to not declare my intentions & major plans way too outright. Because when I do so, the next moment all book of Murphy's Laws occur full scale. And eventually I'd be in urge to knock my head against the wall so hard that I'd stay unconscius till it's the next time to share out 'new years promises'.
( chill! ... no major injuries ... just figuratively speaking )
Happy floaty new year everyone!
There's never too much time spent with your loved ones!
@Puzz360 Congratulations!
Could you share some wider context please?
-Mostly the same XR all over? Or by multiple boards on same account? Assuming the app and board always up to date? Any regrets or some notable concessions in favour to all those badges?
@silversurfer Agreed!
As for the nose and tail different angles paired with different drop/rise .. I also see more in common with 'Lightning Rails' and 'X10 Rails', .. rather than og WTF's or 'Dub Tails'.
Great viewing materials!
Looks like Onewheel barrow has some sort of physical switches or pressure sensors under either of handles. I'm taking a raw guess someone's DIY 'counterfeit' prototype featured gyros only plus some sort of on/off. Cannot find a link anymore to examine.
Awesome!

Well put together, @NotSure
When this newsletter notification popped up on phone first, I was like "Meh?!?.. what's so special about it?". Later on all that 6.5 inch thing came to mind again. Meanwhile I had forgotten it for good.
Where are those overheating issue claims now??
But afterall .. it's still a good thing in it's odd way.

I'm also curious and following this.
