@sirgu If it ghosts, it will cut someone's head off!
-
What could possible go wrong? :D
-
@onedangt Bruh lol
-
Sure it can fit in a luggage, but good luck getting any airline to let you fly with those batteries
-
@S-Leon that was well spotted!
Surely a new challenge for authorities to redefine "street legal" in PEV's. :}
Out of all curiosity - I hope you all noticed it's sideways movement thing like OW/snow-/skate-/surf-/any-board - I am trying to figure out physical aspects on that matter. Dangerous indeed, not gonna be a widespread convenient consumer item.
-
@sirgu I was thinking about that when I was looking to buy a OW
My college treats PEVs the same as bikes since a lot of people have a lot of electric scooters and skateboards. On Campud Police, staff and even teachers seem fine with my OW whenever I entered class with it.

Once you dig into that ... bunchloads of YouTube recommendations coming along, lol.

Well, this >Lexus Slide< is an interesting concept! Gotta keep an eye on that where this is heading.

The OP calls it 'flywheel XR'.
Well this is a real 'Captain Morgan pushback'. -
@sirgu
Hacksmith Industries already made a hoverboard like this, but they ran into some wacky issues -
And .. here we go again

@sirgu
"How to go out in a blaze of glory"Oh God, that thing goes 90?!
-
@sirgu flight time of 10 minutes :P

@cheppy44 ~~ imagine if the battery runs out of juice at 100 feet~~

A new Kickstarter campaign started a few days back
: Flyte: The Ultimate Gravity-Defying Hoverboard :
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/flyte/flyte-the-ultimate-gravity-defying-hoverboardIt's not a rideable .. it is ... well, read it, if you will. -
@sirgu Omg this is so cool.
But the price is like waaay too much for my purse. -
@sirgu said in Other 'FLOAT' prototype devices:
It's not a rideable
But have they tried it on a mag lev train track, hmmmm?
-
@OneDanGT You mean like the others did it with Lexus Slide Hoverboard back in this video?
--I see where your imagination is going. :}
Indoor skatepark with magnetic levitation flooring and smooth obstacles. Sign on entrance reads: "Please hand over your phone, keys and any metal accessories before you buy a ticket to the track!"
Let's dream big for the future! -
@sirgu im waiting for a VESC based VTOL.
-
@sirgu I would buy/fund it but Kickstarter has a big problem with scams and such, so there isn't any real way I can confidently fund it.
However, if it turns out to be a real product later on, I may buy one :) Really neat!

This one looks weird, but also looks pretty fun. I think if I couldn't ride a onewheel, this is what I would get. It isn't going to go on any hard-core single track, but it looks like lots of fun for paved and reasonably well groomed trails.
