@onedangt I've hopefully secured it well to the bristles so fingers crossed it doesn't fall off and terrify some poor kid lol
@Franko Welcome :) I like showing the steps to make stuff like this. Makes it more attainable for anyone wanting to do this. The trick is to learn all the really lazy cheats to make things look good ;)
@blkdout Thanks~ x A crystal spider sounds cool. I'll see if I can kitbash one with some 3D models to prints or something.
Nearly done I think, got a few more bits to add but it's mostly presentable~
Added a darker coat of brown with a brush then smeared and dabbed it away with a cloth to give it some texture so it looks like bark now :) Got a few spots still to do though.
Also added some red sheer fabric to the cauldron to replicate a potion look. Got a purple one coming to see if that looks better.Bunch of jewellery I wasn't ever going to wear helped decorate some bits along with some printed belt buckles sprayed silver, looks real nice :)
Casual pentagram chilling up front wire wrapped to the frame to tension it in place. Seen the technique on some Wiccan stuff and it looks pretty cool so replicated the style.

Haven’t shared my costume really since I can’t take pics that don’t feel like I’m fishing for attention D:
Sending strength to future Lia who’ll undoubtably have fun trying to make the video somewhat family friendly. Skirts and low angles are not a good look 😳

@lia I was thinking something simple like a wire wrapped crystal. Kind of like this but way cooler:
However, what you have done to the front is much more witchy! I like it better than a dumb old spider lol.

@blkdout Ooo that's cool, I did just 3D print some spiders with the intention of lopping off it's bum and putting a fake gem on it. But a wire wrapped one looks dope too!
Need to finish applying some detail but what I've added recently makes the whole thing look better on a scale of night and day.... just.... need to finish it >.>

You guys are reminding me I need to power up my robot spider this year. 26 servos and various algorithms for different movements and dances. Fun for a few minutes I guess lol.

@Lia Yup! It sat in my cart for a couple months but eventually had to have it lol. I haven't powered it up in over a year so hopefully the initial excitement comes back.
@cheppy44 That video was definitely one of the catalysts to me finally pulling the trigger. I didn't build a cool storage tote like he did but the one it came with is very nice for being just cardboard and foam lol.
