New GT Firmware

@notsure Awesome video, I hadn't yet seen it . . . cuz I was out riding and felt the exact same way about the update!
I hit a new high speed on my GT at 19.9 mph, from 19.2 which is right after the old pushback would hit. I did get a little hit on the mileage, but I attribute that to my avg speed being more in the 18/19 mph range rather than my usual 16/17. I ride apex and the board mounting is smoother, the tire chirps I used to get on certain bumps are gone, and the torque is less jittery, but still there and way more controllable. Can't wait to get out and ride more!

@notsure Just got finished watching, looks like it's really damn good!
Assuming things haven't turned upsidedown by the time June swings round I might get one too :D
@HanahsDax Have you had a chance to try out the new firmware. I must know the daystreak god's opinion on the new vibe.

@biell im still waiting till november at least. i would turn purple with rage if my gt bricked the first day out.
edit: then he saw the tfl demo the firmware...
theres a slight chance i might get it sooner.
Little question. When they say needs enduro (tyre), kush (footpads), bangs (bumpers), but dubs?? -or something like that-, what they mean? Thanks

Dubs referring to W rails or WTF rails.
On it's own the letter "W" is pronounced "Double-U" which people shorten to "Dub" sometimes :) -

@ed_co It's uncommon phrasing to be fair. I tend to only hear it used by gamers.
Honestly can see why so many countries say English is one of the hardest to learn. -

@lia I haven’t updated yet. Seems like nothing but good news from the people who have. I am hoping one of the bugs to get fixed is the front lights always being on. I like riding with them off except at night of course and hate always having to turn them off.
I got used to more aggressive pushback riding the V1, I swear it kicks in a 13.5 mph religiously, so the GT pushback didn’t bother me too much. I was still able to hit 23mph in Flow.
I am concerned now that it’s “easier” to go faster, there will be more GT nosedive posts on other platforms. Hopefully riders wear the necessary gear when pushing the limits. -

That's a weird one, wonder if it's because they added the brightness controls and somehow causes it to conflict. Decent speed you picked up there though, it's wild to see the GT will go faster before pushback than my fastest ever top speed on the XR (19.5mph, I'm too squishy for anything faster).

Me too, I was kind of relieved that pushback was as brutal and at the speed it was at launch. That said I'm fine if they offset pushback if they leave loads of headroom for the board to sustain bumps and instances where you'd otherwise get flung. I don't push over 15mph to give me all that extra power in case I hit a dip or a bump.
Noticed TFL even put helmets on when testing the new firmware which was unexpected but cool of them to do. Wonder if that was for genuine safety or to try encourage others since they're usually not wearing a head bucket.

@ed_co dont beat ur self up over it. google translate works well enough... i have to use urban dictionary sometimes n i fucking live here!

there will be regardless! that shit is monetized. its better they sell a riskier product that everyone wants than a less risky product no one wants. that risk breeds exclusivity.

they also demonstrated their skateboarding skills. "u might think u can onewheel, but can u skateboard without a computer to aid you?"
i can barely use my bongo board now lol.
