@lemur Interested to see where this goes.
My guess would be a cap but since there are 4 of them big chonky ones it's probably not worth desoldering all 4 to check.

@lia I butchered the PX board up trying to find the massive short, started removing components until the short was gone. The large caps are almost impossible to remove in one piece, there's a very small nib to try to heat to desolder.
Turns ot the 4086abz mosfet driver was shorted, unfortuately, I pulled a solder pad for the mosfet driver so I can't resolder another on to try to salvage this board.
Good news someone is willing to send me a working OG Pint board so I can carry on with this franstein project.

@lemur Did seem like those would be a nightmare to remove, power traces just absorb heat and I always struggle with them >.>

Wild to see it's the driver chip at fault. You think there might be an issue with the main fets dumping HV to the gate pins?

Love to see the transplant work out when you get a chance. Fingers crossed :)
RIP old mainboard, may your components be salvaged to save others.

@lia Checkn this out: Firmware modification tools for the Onewheel Pint, Pint X and XR.
This will keep me busy for a while, since I've already pull the PX stm32.

@lia I was just reading about that patch, that is so exciting! A lot of info above my pay grade for now, but time to learn.
