Worst weather you've ever rode in

@maciak 90!?!?!
Stay safe out there, boss just told me their neighbours shed just nearly flew away with all their garden tools in it at only 40mph.@S-Leon I remember that pic. It's very calming to look at, very chill vibes ;) That said if there was any amount of fog/mist in that it'd remind me of all the "Liminal Space" pics I've been seeing recently.

i vote that @S-Leon wins, lol. those photos are amazing!
-
@franko -- It's just that snow is easily photogenic.
-
@s-leon badass AND modest! ๐

@maciak -- Oh, my! Ninety mile an hour winds! Tree toppling winds! Gnarly branch dropping winds! Yes, and roof tiles could be a real hazard!
Ok,ok...over 145kph tops so far, still increasing. Id rather have something like in your pic below๐ฌ

By the way @lia , the eyeglasses-clipped mirror is not of my own design, is popular among bicycle riders, and is commercially available: https://takealookactive.com.

What?! Those @s-leon freezing pics are just legendary!
(Personally .. a decision for onewheeling is cause consequence of good weather locally. - So I initially thought not to speak along this topic at all.)

Heat doesn't photograph so well ๐

I once rode in temps below 50F! Wind (ok, breeze) was at least 18mph and I accidentally put on my light sweatshirt instead of my heavy one!!! Does that count?

I've ridden in a lot of really cold weather, but that's usually pretty undramatic because it's dry/icy.
Last summer, though, It was soooo windy sometimes. A sturdy peanut butter sandwich stands up to all winds, though. (Clip 1)
And then I tried twice to ride super far unsupported in northern Sweden. First time, it rained and hailed really hard and I had to get picked up after hiding out under an abandoned house for an hour or so (Clip 2). The second time, I had to shelter on the front stoop of an abandoned house when the sky just opened up (Clip 3). At least that time it actually stopped raining.
Apparently, my super power is to be near abandoned houses exactly when I need them!
Weather action footage! Links to maps of these long-distance escapades in the descriptions.

@angusofstockholm I've been in those situations, no such luck with an abandoned building but a tiny bus shelter instead. Thankfully the storm was short and passed by as quickly as it came.
Had the acompanying gopro footage for that ride too and it's great seeing me haul ass to the nearest shelter realising the storm isn't going to be a light drizzle lol.

Good? Better? Best? -- Weather!
Living in the Northeast Ohio snowbelt, with more snow than usual this year -- upwards of five or more feet deep total since November -- today was an absolute heavenly day to Onewheel! Although beside the Greenway Corridor there was still deep snow, pocked with dog and animal tracks, the whole width of the paved trail was clear and dry -- except for a few patches of slush and ice which I stopped and shoveled away -- for many Onewheel miles. Enjoying strong February sunshine I passed a shirtless, bare-chested, bare-backed, bare-armed jogger, as well as hikers, dog walkers, and bicyclists. On the road I saw a metallic blue Porsche cruising with its top down and its occupants laughing at their own February audacity.
On the way to the trail I saw people in their yards tapping maple trees to make maple syrup and maple sugar, and yesterday mid-morning I distinctly heard a redwing blackbird declaring Spring!
Of course, with lake effect snow created in an impressive natural snow machine by arctic winds blowing across a springtime ice-free, fifty-seven miles wide (and two hundred forty-one miles long) expanse of Lake Erie, of which we are directly downwind and about 275 ft. above lake level, March can end up being the snowiest month. And, too, I have plenty of photos and videos of Onewheeling through snowfall in April. Regardless of that, this day -- today -- was a delicious early Spring day!

@lia props to that person out running, heading INTO the storm. that's dedication!
-
Average snowfall in Ohio -- guess which part is mine.

@s-leon You know, that almost looks like a OW track across that car hood!
