I was due for another tumble
-
Oh! @lia -- Knee pads can be comfortable, easy to put on, and a regular part of life. I'd feel naked without mine!
Heal fully and well! -
@s-leon I'll probably reconsider not having knee pads. Issue is a lot of them I find super uncomfy and really distracting >.>
I get to peel off the bandaging tomorrow to clean and replace them so get to see the carnage π -
@lia Glad you're ok overall and hope you heal super fast, falling crosses my mind most rides... Not all of the time but regularly and especially as I've not had one for age. I tend to keep the speed under 15mph in general, I always put my arms out and for me it's the left arm that gets hit. Can't be screwing that up again π
Never seem to hit my head though.
Take care. -
Yikes! At least nothing it fairly minor!
-
Bandage off. It's proper mingin under there but healing fine. I'll spare y'all of the picture I took of it freshly peeled back π At least that's one more bit of skin I won't have to shave anymore!
@Puzz360 I always mess up the left arm too. Just the nature of it being the leading arm lol. Just a ickle wickle graze though this time so no complaints here. Makes me feel like a real skater with all the scrapes π Gotta work on my ragdolling though so I take more superficial damage and less... flesh woundy types.
@Lemur Yeah I'm pretty lucky it wasn't something like a break. That'd really mess up my ride vibes moving forward. Would tie me down to living vicariously through you all instead.

I managed to get back out and finish the loop while revisiting what caused me to fall.

Some kinda shoddy trench filling :/ hard to get a good pic as there were too many cars to take a pic of the actual spot but despite how poorly it came out on camera there was a section towards the edge on the left lane that sunk quite a bit.

My best guess is I got air in the while then bounced off the lip on the other side and bonked, sending me up off the pads. Thereβs a white streak after the trenching that must have been my board scraping. What remnants of my knee are long washed away in the rain.
-
@lia That certainly looks rough. The state of the roads, shocking. Poor repairs and potholes, very dangerous.
-
Northampton roads nd pthways mke you keep your wits about you, I can attest to that
-
OUCH, that looks painful!
Glad to see that you're ok!
I'm worried about my next fall. The last time I took a bad fall was nearly a year ago, and that took out both of my wrist guards, and took my controller with it
-
@loaf That must have been one hell of a tumble to destroy the wrist guards and take you out for a year! Hope you're doing okay now.
