VOW Vesc'd GT is insane!
-
The Aussies are nuts, I'm not surprised by this given one of them tried to pay a utility bill with a drawing of a spider.
20 - 23mph is easy on the floatwheel. I've had it up to 27mph on flat terrain many times but I hit push back and can't get out of my head that I could hit an unseen bump or a deer might run in front of me, or any number of unknowns. I'd like to crack 30 at some point just to say I've done it. The big difference really is the extra torque gives you so much more acceleration from standing and the thing just swallows hills. -
In case you didn't catch it the follow up to the prior vid dropped the other day from TFL. A range test vs a GTS... or two.

Overall this thing is insane.
Yeah i love it! Great videos too. Stanley is indeed a madman. I need me some short shorts lol!
-
@notsure I'm starting to wonder when we'll hit the upper limit of what this form factor can do before we start making boards a little longer and wider.
-
@lia +20 is when it starts getting fun
-
The boys have outdone themselves.
We're well in the 40+ mph range and er... yeah no I'm fine in the 20-30mph leagues 😅 I don't wear nearly enough gear to go any faster.
-
@lia I now want to make a board that goes 40 just so I can hit 30 without any worries
Maybe thats the lunatic in me talking -
@loaffette Honestly I feel like I want the headroom just so I have it. 40 is too much for me but being able to touch 30 on a straight would be fun!
-
@lia I moved my duty cycle alarms down to 75%. I can't go 30, but I feel really confident at any speed I do go.
-
@biell I was tempted to flash my GT and unlock a bit of speed but after some thought I trust FM's heavy margins and like naturally cruising at 20 on tarmac. I think if I push it I'll get a bit too close for comfort 😅
-
@loaffette wait til august for my 60mph capable board. (21700 2p) shhhhhhhhh. Even faster than stanley's next build.
-
@zatrkrisp Sixty?!
