Sick of OW Reddit

@Lia @OneDanGTS agree, 100%!

@franko r/wheel was supposed to draw the VESC, ReWheel, et al away so it could go back to being more friendly. But, nobody ever posts there. My last post on r/wheel (admittedly purposely a little obtuse) got no discussion and exactly one upvote.

Is it just me or has the drama over on the reddit sub calmed down in the last few days? I wonder if the mods are intervening maybe.
-
@onedangts Might just be things blew over. Nothing stoking the flames so everyone moved on.
That said there's a post laying into a recent addition of a bot that's just commenting on everything. -
@lia Yeah, saw that. A forum is no place for an advanced bot trying to act like a human, IMO. Irks me so much, I sometimes report such posts as they can confuse and influence people that don't realize it's not a person behind the post. Linking to relevant information and correcting grammar is all I'd expect in such an environment. Last I checked, it had dozens of down votes, so hopefully that will be the end of it.

I'm reading all this above and I just can't relate to it.
Think I've actually logged in few dozen times to Reddit and overall made handful posts ever.Other than that ... as a "fun fact" .. that place was an access key on getting contact with Lia (after FM community forum shut-down) and eventually getting aware & involved into this forum here. So there lies my only importance of Reddit.

@franko I would say it reminds me of the reddit deticated to Starbucks workers
I used to work at starbucks, and I often looked at the starbucks reddit after shifts
It quickly became apparent that people either A) complained about customers, B) complained about corporate, C) complained about working there or, D) making posts about quittingThe posts I made about funny things that happened at work or interesting things that happened quickly got filled with people crapping on corporate and customers, when it was supposed to be a light-hearted post
I can't add more to the topic than this, but it really sucks that communities easily turn to anger. People probably just prefer to be angry and hateful rather than trying to find the good in things nowadays

@loaffette yeah, you're probably right. maybe it's just the life cycle of subreddits, shrug.
-
@loaffette most ppl dont know that the internet is made of tubes, and those tubes are filled with salt...
