@onedangts My rationale is three-fold:
Firstly, I've been in the market for a new board for a long while now. I have family that likes to ride them when they visit, and my XR and Pint just aren't enough for everyone. I'm already pushing the limits on my XR so the time has come to upgrade, if only for safety's sake.
Secondly, I'm not really into tinkering, at least not enough to start a project board that I will have to maintain over time. I've got work and school, and between them both, my free time is at a premium.
Thirdly, the Funwheel has yet to develop a complete kit that suits my needs. The Floatwheel by comparison is very enticing, and I am still considering getting one, but the lead time and method of purchase isn't quite refined enough yet. The fragile plastic components also gave me pause.
Considering my use case and preferences, the GTS makes sense. I wanted something fast and reliable that my family and I can ride confidently at speed on mostly paved roads. The GT platform has an active aftermarket, which continues to develop, so I made my choice.

@notsure Everyone has to make their own decisions, and those are all good reasons. I expect you are going to enjoy the new board a lot.

@notsure I got you beat, 24.9 MPH on stock XR, the only mods being a burris tire

@notsure My GT S was initially supposed to ship on Wed, Nov 1. I just looked and now it's showing that it will ship today (not yet confirmed via email). My accessories did ship USPS today though. What's your order look like?

@onedangts just got shipping confirmation. Looks like it’s not gonna be a repeat of the GT fiasco. Man, i hope the cold spell breaks and we get a nice warm Indian summer here in the NE.

Careful, that might be for your accessories. My OW got bumped to ship today, but again, no email confirmation. Crossing my fingers you'll get at least a few riding days in before winter kicks in!

So I went over to TFL (it's like 6 blocks from my house) and saw them recording a video with a new GTS. Jeff finished up the video and personally helped me pick out some new sidekicks so I can put my GTS into "in cognito" mode right away.
Turns out, it wasn't his GTS, but a customer's and I think they were putting new rails on it. He has the lowest order number he's heard of, yet his hasn't shipped yet! I ordered Saturday night and mine shipped today. He said there's a guy in Illinois that got his already. I told him he should have ordered using a different name! LOL
I mentioned this forum, maybe we'll get a new member. ;)

Yep, Jeff showed in the app that pushback has gone up for all of the digital shapings, including now 25 mph for the main ones that most everyone uses.
I do recall Kyle in the announcement video saying something about a bright lights setting, but it was just a super quick mention.
On another note, my GTS is supposed to arrive tomorrow, same day as my fender and power plug. Will post some pics once it's in my hands!
