@loaffette Ooooo new little rug~!
Kidding, those some new Thunder Rails? -
@lia Thanks, the rugs my favorite <3
Yea, someone on the Fungineers discord offered me theirs for around 320 and I snagged them up. My rails were pretty stripped and I wanted to have a set of rails I could use for reference when doing CAD models for the XR.
I took some measurments to realize that they are just XR rails with an angle and a bulbous centerpiece. Going to try tomorrow or next week when I get time to try and made a CAD model of them and try to see if I can produce my own custom rail guards with a decal. (Looking into using CendCutCend for the protector, then using my colleges large-format printer to make the decal, just gotta make sure I can scoot the design by them and make sure the measurments work out.)

Was out again and due to the loss in greenery a small feature in the River Tove was visible and overflowing.
It's some derelict construction with a large flat surface that's overflowing. I assume it was formerly some sort of small mill but I'm unsure since there's a much larger former mill the other side of the field.Looked like a nice enough pic minus the ugly fence separating me and further adventure (and falling in).

@s-leon That's pretty cool!
Did you keep it in the lines though as you rode through? ;) -
Got some nice pics to shaaaaaaare :3
First up I spotted a lone hot air balloon while out the other day which was nice to see.
Along with that a lot of the wildlife is springing back into life and the little stream (River Tove) is flowing quite happily as it enter Towcester.

@lia -- Fun! To see a hot air balloon!
-
@s-leon As a kid I lived in a town that held annual "Hot Air Balloon Races". About 20 would launch from an 1812 Fort I need to bring my Onewheel someday. So as any kid would do, we rode our bikes down to the balloon pits before takeoff and the pilots would give us frisbees and stickers and stuff sponsoring their balloon. We watched them lay out their balloons and test their flames and stuff before takeoff. They let us in the baskets too, just so fun.
Luck would have it, one year a balloon had to emergency land and it happened to be in our backyard. We walked outside and sure enough, they handed us frisbees and stickers to apologize for the inconvenience lol.
