I just received the Superflux motor today, had to pay UPS pirates $32 CDN for "fees".
The SF motor is larger in the core diameter and longer, feels way heavier than the Hypercore .
I did the motor detection and all seems fine.IMG_6440.JPG

@Lemur .. So thrilling to know you got one of those workhorses! No question some enviable build coming up with that and your skills paired up.

@sirgu I had to find out if the SF motor would run on a OW controller. I had this experiment in my mind ever since the preorder.
I used a Plus controller as it was expenable, there were 36 possible combination of wires , I charted it all out and checked off the failed combos and was lucky to find the right combo on the fifth try.
Next up will be installing the SF motor in a Xr chassis and road test before using the motor in a vesc build. I couldn't post a video.IMG_6460[1].PNG

@Lemur, wow, no clamps? I can hardly imagine torque pull motion and vibration on convenient bench-test like this. Or was it on the contrary rather tame due to (tire yet off and) well balanced hub? This thing had to show some character on first split second.

@sirgu I've never had a problem with bench testing on plastic milk crates and I've tested dozens of boards, tires on or not.

@lemur Pretty sure if you add a capacitor, you can hit 88 mph on that thing!

                  GT-S > GT > Pint X > XR > +

@onedangt I did that and the SF motor disappeared, but I found it this morning.
Luckily, I set the future time dial just 24 hours ahead to the future.

@lemur -- The test ride of your SuperFlux-motor-powered-Onewheel looked good on Facebook. I like your video proof that it is indeed possible to do! And I appreciate your observations on how it rides. Please post here if you will!

                        wait what

                        There's aftermarket motors now?

My wallet might become a bit lighter and my XR a bit heavier

113 volts?! I could lick that!
