Maybe could be useful for something. -
@ed_co
Tire pressure monitor system???
-
@lia Probably covering all possible bases.
-
@lemur I agree. FM doesn't patent these things because they expect to implement them, they patent them in case they want to implement them (at best) and to keep 3rd parties from attaining relevance (at worst).

they do it bc this is the phase in their development wherein the company uses its resources to flesh out patentable innovations on the core product so that when the base product goes open source, FM remains in a position of authority over the trajectory of innovation. thats why the whole open source community stuff coupled with the rtr stuff makes no sense. if ur participating AND protesting, ur just an intern for the r&d department. not unless u patent it, ur just another unpaid asset.

@biell Also there's an interesting read on page 33 of the GT patent on how the charging system power flow works.
I have to read it again to try to grasp the concept, all having to do with the third pin. -
@lia Yep, just another way to remove 3rd party from the equation. And this is one of the things that confirms that Kyle's video is all BS. FM is just making a pest of themselves...
Just hope people reacts. I will never buy any onewheel from them again.
BTW, are there any other patents for the GT outthere? -
