I cannot explain enough how efficient the Onewheel has made my chores.
Trash cans at 12mph. Loud as thunder!
-
Two photos from today's ride.
-
@s-leon What snake and what flowers are those?
-
@blkdout -- Well, the yellow flowers in the golden sunshine are trout lilies, easily identified by the mottled or splotched greenery.
The snake? I am less sure. It's common -- I have seen more than a half dozen of these small snakes on the Greenway in the past two days. It may be a brown snake -- maybe Dekay's brown snake -- but that's just a guess. This one was interesting because of its body undulations and knottiness. Most of the others have been more relaxed in form. This one also let me get close without much reaction. -
@s-leon My first thought was brown snake but the stripe and crinkle threw me off lol. Based on the range of the Trout Lily though, I think we're both correct.
My Onewheel is just out of frame before almost smashing this little guy. Thank goodness for motor braking:
-
@blkdout -- Wonderful photo catching the forked tongue of the snake!
Hmmm... another name for trout lily is adder's tongue. -
@s-leon the boy scout in me is telling me to pet the snake
also I'm digging the box on top, I find it to be fitting of the onewheel V1's style and look
-
@blkdout pet the snaaaake
-
I promise not to make this a snake thread but couldn't help sharing one of my favs. My dog found it and made it not happy lol.

Onewheel Plus yesterday with a palm-sized frog:
One of three tennis-ball-sized wool sower oak wasp galls on the same tree today -- at a bit above eye level, too high to have the Onewheel in the photo:
Onewheel V1 today with an unidentified 18-24" snake: -
Garter. -
Been a while since I managed to get some nature in my shots.
However during a little 1am ride I stumbled across a lil hedgehog just vibing by itself.
It tried to run away as I took the pic >.>

By the trailside:
-
@s-leon The shade of yellow reminds me of those foam banana sweets and now I'm really peckish for some. Good thing I don't like mushrooms else I might be tempted to take a nibble.
-
@lia -- Ruth Anne looked these mushrooms up comparing photos online and they appear to be edible. Not that I am planning to try them.
-
I made a few friends on my trail ride today!
-
@biell that's a cool looking OW
I've just done 4 miles in the forest here, I kept having to stop for horses that hated the noise on gravel -
@theadman Thanks! It has taken many years of little changes here and there to get it to this point! The most recent addition are the 3D printed risers to support the mag fender. A friend helped model and print them for me based on my prototypes that I made out of wood.
-
Just ragging up and down a local park one of you might recognise, trying to push my max speed and get a bit of carving in. Put it in delerium for the first time, loved it but it's rinsed the battery.

a very motion-blurred dusky photo of 2 very suburban deer - a doe n fawn - that i saw tonight. It's been very dry here so I think they were browsing for sprinklers. sry for the hand. i didnt want to disturb them by slowing down or stopping.
