Watching Action on the Leaderboards
-
My streak is gone thanks to the snow over here
Board isn't water proof and I'm not crazy enough to try to learn on the ice
For now -
Today I awoke to see I had moved up the XR daystreak leaderboard....
It's always with a bit of sadness though as I think it could be because of someone else's misfortune. Let's hope for them it was intentional to stop...
I have also had my fair share of close scrapes before midnight wondering why my mileage hasn't triggered the daystreak to the point of going out again and again right up until midnight. So far so good.Don Morgan has gone from the 4th spot meaning I now occupy position 8....
I have a record of how long it's taken to move along each place, I'll try and post it here when I get it updated.
I did think when I was in the top 20 I was with the elite and unlikely to progress, but it's nice to have the challenge to keep going providing the board holds out 😉 🤞
Keep on floating everyone ➖🔘➖

@puzz360 Congrats on shifting up another spot, how many days are you at to hold #8?

I hope it's intentional too, I never like to consider a nasty scrape is responsible for losing a place.
-
@lia for the dizzy heights of 8th I've done 777 days.
Would have been nice to be 7th 😉 -
@puzz360 Nicely done! 7th would have been truly a work of art if you'd managed that :)
That puts #9 somewhere between 777 and 751 then since that's where I'm at in #10 -
A rider from France, Jerem Ada, new #5 on the XR Daystreak, posted a screenshot of their Leaderboard numbers on Facebook an hour or so ago. Besides the #5 on the XR Daystreak they hold #12 and #12 on GT and XR mileage, as well as #27 on GT Daystreak.
Interesting to me is to get the window on how far behind #10 the #12 on GT mileage is — 6229 - 5795 = 434 miles two places back. And the average of their 9323km divided by their 219 days is an impressive 42.5km per day on GT — or 26.4 miles per day… While also riding an XR averaging 16.24 miles per day.

@lia thanks Lia, if we can ever surpass Fuser eh ? Lol
I know from previous posts you had already amassed a couple of years prior to your current tally and would likely be #1 at this point….
As you say, it will come again. -
@s-leon that is pretty impressive indeed, I wish I had the time to put that mileage in. My mileage is pretty low still relatively.
I’ll add my screenshot here tomorrow (must sleep)
I have been taking screenshots since day 1 for record, oh and keeping a spreadsheet of progression lol.Now my android phone allows “rolling screenshots” I can get the whole leaderboard page which is only a recent addition on my phone.
-
@puzz360 There's only one man I know that can ;)
We'll get up on there someday.@S-Leon Sounds like another devoted rider. That's very impressive.
Glad it's not just me that finds the gap in mileage interesting. Across a few on the models there's this exponential climb in mileage almost the closer to #1 you get.
I wonder if FM would ever show a complete breakdown of distance/rider position from #1 to however many riders there are. Would be fun to see if there are a variety of distributions of mileage and how it ramps up as you climb the ranking.
-
As promised.
Screenshot of my day streak and mileage… -
@lia I messed around quite a bit with their API. It documents that you can pull more entries per page and multiple pages, but that all seems to come from a template. I haven't yet found a way to pull more information than what is reported in the app. It would have been nice if the swagger definition was accurate.

Hello All 👋 New to the Forum was trying to see if there was a full leaderboard , but from the looks of it there isn’t one ?
-
@biell they may never have finished it. it was an acquisition, right? prob bought it, cracked it open, closed it back up n said 'good enough'! just disabled the sketchiest parts perhaps...
-
@nuckingfutz Welcome to the forum :) Well done with the streak too!
trying to see if there was a full leaderboard , but from the looks of it there isn’t one ?
As of yet there isn't a way that I'm aware of to pull the entire leaderboard. But as @biell has mentioned it might be possible if someone could figure out how to request more of the data via the API.

Not that this means a lot, just for fun really…
Number of days taken to move on up the leaderboard from 50th to 8th for me… -
@lia Thank you, thank you 🙏🏻 Glad to be here.
There are some impressive streaks in here 💪
I would have been a lil further along on day streak , but
Didn’t understand at first you had to ride at least a mile for it to register. The other day I moved 2 spots and was thinking oh no someone must have forgot or gave up, or had technical problems. So decided to look for further info and found the Forum -
@nuckingfutz So many impressive streaks and high mileage riders.
Notably @HanahsDax , @S-Leon and now @Puzz360 all with some healthy numbers that show an admirable dedication! Welcome to the club :) -
@lia -- Oh so modest, Lia, #2 just hours behind fuser -- Stunning dedication really, except for a very unfortunate app glitch.
-
@notsure Yes, they did acquire the app to speed their development. But, in this case, I think whoever first built the api did so on top of a library or other code which is templated out for a standard multi-page search function. However, the methods/hooks were never implemented to perform sorting, pagination, etc. I don't think they have any plans to go back an implement this, as I don't think they want us to be mining the leaderboard data.

I was around on the top 60's on the daily streak until the winter storms came and I got stuck inside. I wasn't insane enough to ride on the ice so I had to let my streak die off ;-;
