Continuation from my former reddit post.

Working on a 3D printable lower battery housing to later adapt to make a PintX one.
In doing so a Pint can have this added to it with a larger battery to upgrade a Pint to have PintX range (or maybe even more).

Currently on MK6 which fits everything. The BMS cover mounting posts need a small adjustment and I think the lower curvature that meets the bumper needs a bit more tweaking. They do fit but with a bit of effort.

Got some PintX bumpers on order so waiting on them to show up so I can then work on that modification. I assume it might just be as simple as extruding the base at a certain point then adding grooves to interlock with the tabs I noticed on the new bumper.

Wonder what a Pint looks like with just the Pint bumper but a PintX battery.

Also while putting these together I realised my metal battery lid is bent much like the lower controller housing was. No wonder putting the Pint back together was a pain, I never did much on the battery side of restoration.

@lia That looks great! I can't wait until it's done.

@lemur Hopefully it'll be of use, probably more so than the controller housing since battery mods are more common.
Once the PintX bumpers show up I'll be doing those tweaks too.

Stumbled across a VESC modded Pint yesterday for cheap on eBay so I've bought that. All stock parts other than the battery and controller however they never got around to making it ride well apparently. Guess they lost interest as it was very cheap. They even have the old BMS and controller so are throwing those in with spare bumpers and some fenders.

When that shows up I'll finally be able to verify my CAD against some actual Pint rails and release slight tweaks to both assuming I biffed some of the tolerances.

@lia If you need files, I have the latest firmware that very few people have. Depends on what vesc you have.
Do you have a picture of the Ebay conversion Pint that you bought? I've done 3 already and want to see if it's done well.

@lemur Thanks, I'll see what needs doing with it as it sounds like it needs work done.

They said they turned it into a 14S1P pack with a "CheapFOcer 2" VESC. Not sure why they went 14s but will see when it's here Saturday :)

This is what it looks like, got no internal pics though (not my pic, theirs. I don't have a cool stove)

                @lia The board looks good.
The Cfocer 2 vesc is rated at 12s max, hopefully the po didn't blow the dvr chip.
Maybe it was a misspeak and it's a Little focer, then 20s.

@lia I actually found a post on FB from a "Chris" about your Pint /vesc board. He describes the Pint as having a Cheap focer 2 and P42A Moli 13S battery.
If it was tested on 13s, then the vesc should be ok.

@lemur That sounds like this board then, nice work tracking that down.
Edit: As typing this DPD showed up with the parcel, that was dan quick! Will make it’s own thread later and take a look :)

@notsure try again, looks like I only allowed .gif when doing pic links.

                      .
