Enduro GT tire may slow the sales of XR/Plus rotorss

If the Enduro is a hybrid tire, I'm hoping separate slick and treaded options are what's next.

What a coincidence, TFL held a Q&A today lol. What's next for them is a "Slick 66" tire, Pint tires, growler tires, GT Varials and Bangs. Along with VESC and front footpads, the next five years look promising.
I do wonder still if the 6.0 rotor will last longer than we think. Tires are super personal and not everyone loves the Enduro.

@blkdout I'm not sold on my Enduro yet. It is hard to compare, as I have an Enduro on my GTR and a Trail-Pro on my CBXR. I just can't ever see the GT platform being my go-to trail riding platform, you are too high off the ground and the clearance sucks.
Accepting that I might never choose my GTR for a trail ride, I recently started contemplating a Whisper as my next GTR tire. Which would be crazy for me, since I haven't ridden a slick tire in the last 4 years. So, this supports your idea that there is still room for the GTR and GT6.0 conversions.
The Enduro is clearly the best 6.5" tire today, so I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it there. When these other tires come out, that could be the final nail in the GTR/GT6.0 coffin, as you suggest.

@biell This solidifies my decision to wait for the aftermarket to catch up before ordering a GT. The comment about it maybe not being a great trail board adds to my apprehension. Something I've long suspected but no one really talks about. Guess I'm holding out for tires people rave about and rails that fix the height/clearance/handling concerns.
On the other hand, I personally love the Enduro on my XR and Varials took it to yet another level. As much as I want the power of a GT, off-road handling and comfort takes precedent so based on your comments, I'll be glad to continue waiting.

Ppl are already working on new rail designs. It sounds like GT rim is both oversized and ineffective. Superflux is the first real attempt at an improved motor design since hypercore. FM will cut it open, sue if they can, then iterate upon the improvements. New model OW with suspension to differentiate. They're gonna do the same with the vesc balance app too.

@blkdout It is worth noting that I ride my GT more than my CBXR. Mostly, right now, that is due to the constant rain making the trails too wet to ride. But, the GT is still great for street, nothing like cruising a comfortable 18MPH without any pushback whatsoever, perfectly flat board.
Edit: Meant MPH, not MPG

that tire tho... tried the treaded at 12 psi on the street n i traded it right back.

@notsure Agreed. But, while the Enduro might not be better than the Trail-Pro, it is still one heck of a tire. I have ridden the 6.5" Enduro briefly, and it is a worthy purchase.

I get WAY more mileage than that! :D
-
@onedangt OH, I meant to write "18MPH". But, I only get 20Miles/charge also. It's my area (hilly), weight, and speed. My max ever distance on my CBXR is 24 Miles.
