This project is for compiling a complete database of every question concerning VESC in the onewheel space. It's slowly becoming apparent that PEV.dev is cumbersome to sift through, and questions often get left unanswered in the discord. This should be a place where every question and answer should be catalogued for easy access. Currently, the goal is to provide easy to understand answers for the most commonly asked questions and to provide detailed yet understandable resources and images for those questions. Down the line, I'll start catalouging the more specific and niche questions and their answers

For now, it will all be typed-up on a google doc that will be added to as questions are answered and new information arises. I'm currently filling out the most commonly asked questions, and hoping to provide wiring diargams and pictures as well

@loaffette Looking good, thanks for the work. I agree that PEV.dev is difficult to find stuff, and right off the bat, you would have saved me quite a few hours of research when wiring up my footpads.

            Update:
We have got rough comparison tables for the Ubox 80V, 100V and the Little Foccer. The Cheap Foccer and ZESC offerings will be left off for now since there isn't much details on either of them used in onewheel VESC conversions, though this may change

Will also reformat the page down the line when we get most of the information down on there. I do plan on spending some time and making a full cost-breakdown sheet for a cheap conversion and an all out conversion, excluding rails, hubs (MTE hub, Tech Rails Billets) and other items not central to converting the vesc. (I.E, if I had a stock XR and I wanted to keep everything that I needed but the FM electrical parts.)

I'm a little surprised with how excited everyone is for this! I'm excited to see where this goes and where it takes me. I would like to joke that I may have a majority of this completed before WillDHydra finishes his part 3 on his pint conversion video :D

@lia I just remembered, I need to add the LN2 stuff into the LED section on the sheet

Is there a discord invite link I could get to add in the sheet?

                      Update on VESC Bible:
Added a table for the different VESC controllers, a wiring diagram for the footpad, and much more information

I need someone to look over the battery, BMS and Charger section to make sure what I have put down is correct.

When I'm done with exams (in two days) I will be able to divert much more time to this, and I hope to make it more compact and easier to read and digest.

we are looking at moving the VESC bible to a more form-based format for easier editing and to make looking for specific topics or items much easier. We are looking at using Notion

Added a lot more information as well, and made some tables. A large thank-you is in order to Nickleman for his help, along with Avaspark and Auden for their help!

in other news, the floatwheel website is down

                          Update for the VESC bible.

So google docs is too limited, and Notion has a limit to the amount of pages we can use, so we are a little stuck on where we want to go next.

We want pages for every part that goes into a onewheel. For example, we want pages for every motor or battery that’s out there. We also want to be able to link to these other pages within other pages.

I think the old onewheel.wiki page could work if I can get editors access to it.
If not, I think google sites could work too, but idk

@loaffette I had a similar issue trying to formulate a way to organise the wiki here that I’m still working on.

Have you looked at the various wiki platforms considering the old onweheel wiki seems ideal?

                                @lia we found a solution
we are going to use something called Bullet and each article/page is going to be it's own google document

It requires some weird HTML stuff but we're gonna give it a go

We also found out that Notion may give you unlimited pages if you only use one account to edit it (I think)

Credit to this find goes to NickleMan on the vescify discord
