Have you made railguards for the varials? Looks awesome in orange!
Sorry, just seeing this! Nothing special, it's just vinyl wrap. Less than $10 on Amazon plus a sharp blade :)
But do you think this will protect against falls and collisions?
Can you send me the link on Amazon?
Thanks -
@ed_co Very minimal protection! But, yes, it does protect against minor scratches and dirt rash. I wouldn't expect much on hard surfaces such as pavement, concrete or gravel but again, it does offer some protection. Nothing close to the protection the hard-to-remove PITA poly rail guards provide lol.
My favorite part about using wrap is when you get bored with a color, it's very easy to peel off and redo. Just make sure you keep SHARP blades on hand as they dull pretty quick. I just use basic x-acto blades but definitely buy a pack or two if you plan on doing this. Isopropyl alcohol is your friend as well.
Link to wrap. Just type the color/style you want in the search: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=vinyl+wrap&crid=OR9DADBW9X0G&sprefix=vinyl+wrap%2Caps%2C171&ref=nb_sb_noss_1
Pics because everyone like pics, right? lol
I have since decided to go with black on the outside and color on top and bottom. Again, so easy to swap out opposed to poly guards:

Happy Spring with a V1!

Some spring flower vibe been taking over here.
Why not?

@sirgu -- Nice photo of snowdrops backlit by sunshine!

Didn't have the Onewheel when I found this one today but since we're doing flowers...

We had a few nice days over the extended Easter weekend.
Managed a ride to a local viewpoint, lots of ruts with large flint stones to try and put you off balance…
One bonus, the tractor had been around turning the fields over and had flattened out some of the large flints making the path a bit smoother.
I have a couple of segments set here… one going up, the other going down, the trouble is you always meet dog walkers etc. who like a chat. Plus obviously being courteous you always have to slow down out of respect regardless. So, never really seem to improve my time 😂😂😂New rail guards from Craft and Ride (one of the few companies to offer free shipping regularly, I really appreciate that…)
I have some Matt black Bang Bumpers on the way too to finish the look off. -
^ I love wide open spaces like that. Wish I had more around that are electric friendly.
Lots of dead fallen trees blocking the trails this year. I'm doing some temporary clearing just so I can ride lol.
edit: Non-potato photo.

@blkdout
Love that, a chain saw, the perfect companion in that environment 😂 -
@puzz360 I cannot explain enough how efficient the Onewheel has made my chores. Usually I was firing up a mower, putting tools in a wagon and hauling them as far as it could go. The OW goes where the mower can't and it's so much faster even if I only carry one thing at a time.
Not to mention, I probably wouldn't have taken this photo if the saw wasn't orange lol.

Two photos from today's ride.

@s-leon What snake and what flowers are those?
-
@blkdout -- Well, the yellow flowers in the golden sunshine are trout lilies, easily identified by the mottled or splotched greenery.
The snake? I am less sure. It's common -- I have seen more than a half dozen of these small snakes on the Greenway in the past two days. It may be a brown snake -- maybe Dekay's brown snake -- but that's just a guess. This one was interesting because of its body undulations and knottiness. Most of the others have been more relaxed in form. This one also let me get close without much reaction. -
@s-leon My first thought was brown snake but the stripe and crinkle threw me off lol. Based on the range of the Trout Lily though, I think we're both correct.
My Onewheel is just out of frame before almost smashing this little guy. Thank goodness for motor braking:
-
@blkdout -- Wonderful photo catching the forked tongue of the snake!
Hmmm... another name for trout lily is adder's tongue. -
@s-leon the boy scout in me is telling me to pet the snake
also I'm digging the box on top, I find it to be fitting of the onewheel V1's style and look
