Welcome to the new (unofficial) Onewheel Forum!

I've done my best to make it as similar to the prior forum as possible but with some improvements. Lots of possibilities with this forum so if there are things you would like or tweaks made just give me a nudge :)

I've never moderated a forum before, let alone actually built one from the ground up and run one but for the community I'm more than happy to try <3

P.s. I'm still working to archive the old forum, once I've got most of the data I'm trying to collect I'll make a separate post on how I'll be compiling and hosting it for everyone to see.

Happy to have our own space back, reddit is nice but a bit busy and limited in functionality.

Let me know if you spot anything that isn't quite right or you would like tweaking :) In the meantime I'll continue salvaging the old one.

I'll probably set the account registration to "Admin Approval" soon as to avoid bots from plaguing the site.

The old one ran on NodeBB which is opensource forum software so I was able to install it too and tweak it to match. Happy to hear it feels just like it used to :D

Guess who got the leaderboard embedded :D

I did want to extract the tables and put Daystreak/Mileage side by side but it doesn't look like I can specify a table in iframe.

@lia Oh, that is so neat! Having it as right side border of the Wall of Stoke category seems like a good place.

So ... the big (BIG!) question ... how far have you gotten restoring the monster Leaderboard thread? ;-)

Funny you mention that, this Sunday along with my normal leaderboard updates I was looking at posting all the old weekly updates on a new "Watching action on the leaderboard" topic under Wall of Stoke.

I have copies of all the ones I did separate from the archiving project so can upload those. Will figure a clean way of doing it so it's not a long tedious list of images.

I only managed to reach out to a few people I could remember the usernames of on reddit. If there's anyone not here feel free to give them a poke if you have their contact :)

Just to note I've set the forum to admin approval for signup to avoid bot's invading the forum.
While archiving I came across a number of posts suggesting the old one was plagued by it early on which probably prompted FM to introduce the same measure.

i think that's a good idea. outside of the FM forum, i didn't have any contact with anyone else, sadly -- i never expected it to go away, being the official one and all that... sigh

Me either, was genuinely shocked. I'd already considered it might have been a possibility a few days after it hadn't come out of maintenance but it still hit hard when it was confirmed.
