GT motor plug elimination

In my case I didn't have a burnt out motor phase connector, but to connect a Superflux motor to a Gt controller.
I didn't trust the stock wimpy Gt motor connector so I by passed the connector altogether and ran 12 g wires out the side of the controller case together with the hall wires.
The 12 g wires ended up in 4mm bullet connectors, but a Mt60 would work. I'm on the lookout for a waterproof 3 pin connector and the halls ended up in a 9mm 6 pin connector for an e bike.

@theadman It won't fit in a stock Onewheel, but if you want to extend the footpad harness, yes.

@Lemur If you find a waterproof connector, please let us know. I think we are all in the market for that. Right now, I am planning on making one from an MT60. Here is my initial experiment.

Assuming you remove the motor connector would a gland fit in it's place?
I'm thinking of making a custom daughterboard that either has the new Superflux motor connector on it or just eliminating the port and putting a gland there.

@lia The motor plug hole is almost 21mm with a flat on one side.
Actually, I will be installing one on my new Ubox Gt build today, my phase and hall wires came out the side from a Sf motor conversion with the stock controller but now I can come out the motor plug hole. You can file a flat on the gland threads and tighten the internal nut.
I run the stock GT headlight 12v brights from a 2a 12v aux , they were too bright on straight 12v, so I added a 5 ohm 1/4 watt to limit current and dim the lights a bit.
Taillights will be Adruino nano on a rgb strip. I wanted to run Wled on an esp32 , but my only esp32's wifi died, so nano for now. -
@lemur I'm surprised it's keyed since the plug is hard mounted to the PCB. Simple fix like you said.
Good idea limiting the current. Don't want them to burn up too soon D: I was tempted to try making some better GT headlights but since the LN2 XR based ones haven't even sold out yet I don't think I can justify it. Stock seems plenty anyway on a GT.
I've been using Seeeduino's and those are pretty fun yet tiny if you ever want to experiment with some other microcontrollers.
