Agreed, not only are you saving weight, size and needing to dissipate heat but worrying about this.

@notsure Pretty sure it's mandatory without leading to electrical damage. Energy has to go somewhere. Sadly my knowledge on electronics only go as far as what I've played with, no formal education or qualifications (In like... anything lmao).

@lia Looks like Chibattery is not producing Cbsco batteries at the moment, maybe due to bad press.
Wtih all due repespect to Surfdado, I think the hasty bad feedback video was undeserved, a little communication with Chibattery would be more constructive than a public personal attack.

there is no wrong interpretation. its about the 'mean' interpretation. one bad press, n they scrap it? seems a bit... petulant. just a statement would be necessary. its hard to make sense of motivation sometimes. i think he was mad. ppl get mad. imo he should have checked the bms... there is no cross collaboration, correct? no standardization. but im literally full of opinions. i cant keep em in.

@notsure Yes, he was mad, but sometimes it's better to cool down before and sleep on it. Next morning , a whole different perspective emerges.
Also, perhaps some of the onus is on the user to check settings, especially on an experimental balance vechicle. -

@lemur I did think it was odd to immediately go all in over the settings especially when this is a DIY build but since it ships with something by default I'd be myth'd still.
TBH assuming I didn't just go for a dumb BMS I'd instead not ship these with settings and avoid the headache of people not liking what was set from factory.
