I noticed that reddit still has a link to the old forums.
If we are ever ready to open membership up a little, we could always ask IntelliDev to redirect the "Forums" link here.
@Lia it would be most appropriate for you do make the request, since you setup the server. And, thanks again for this, this is definitely the best OW community. I can't ask him, as I pissed him off to high heaven on discord when he setup regional groups and put Delaware as part of the South, and not part of the Mid-Atlantic.

@biell It's an inevitability, we're nearly 2 months in on here and as far as it seems things are running smooth.
Probably a few housecleaning things to do ahead of time. When it comes time I'll announce it on Reddit but with everyone's approval here first.
Ideally I'd like to have some of the archive ready. I might end up manually doing a few of the pages since learning Python albeit not hard just isn't something that naturally clicks with me and I haven't found the time to sit and learn it long enough to make progress.

@lia I kinda want to say no... in having interacted with Dan for awhile via discord... he's very "only one way, that's his way"... I wouldn't want to see him have a controlling stake/say. As he's pretty intolerant of others' ideas for improvement, or of criticism towards FM/OW. Don't buy into the ______ (the word is escaping me) that his whole "petition FM to respond on the GT" thing.
I also think that one of the key benefits of less exposure to the OW community is a positive, look at the low-level posts commonly made in the subreddit... Based on the majority of the posts and discussions here, they're at a much more technical level of detail and interest. To me, the end benefit is seeing this place as a haven away from responses that are "RTFM", and cultivate more in-depth topics, that can then perhaps be shared to a more broad audience and platform.

@samuraipunch Haven't interacted with any of them myself but can't say I want to be butting heads.
I will agree, it's nice to have a haven away from the usual drama. That and handling anything larger sounds like a nightmare so I haven't thought much more about announcing it. Besides anyone looking for the forum won't struggle to find it, we show up as one of the top results when googling "Onewheel Forum". That said google decided to link to a random point in the XS thread as the main link and I can't figure out how to make it not be that page... probably some SEO guff.
