GTP project

My GTP project well on it's way. This is a Gt controlled Pint, the first hurtle is done, I shoehorned a GT controller into a Pint housing with lots of massaging, the battery will be 18s 1p Molicel 42a's, providing 272 wh, in a PX battery housing. Hopefully, I can adapt the Pint light bar to run with the GT controller but without the 12v headlight that is on the Gt lightbar. I'm just waiting on a jst gh 8 pin connector so I can plug the Pint harness into the GT controller, all wiring is mapped out. Good winter project, when the project is up and running, I will post pictures of the modifications to get the GT controller to fit.

@lia I'm not too versed in RGB lights, but with just two colours for the Pint lightbar, does it matter if it's it's 11 rgb leds (GT) or 13 rgb leds (Pint) ?

@theadman Yes, that's what I was striving for without going vesc. This Gt controller is pre update and I can Rewheel for even higher speed and other good stuff.

@lemur It'll work with less. Data driven LEDs have a set string length so as long as you match it or go lower it'll be fine. If you have more the rest won't light up.

The one other thing to keep in mind is different manufacturers order the R G and B channels differently so if they differ you may end up with with the Green or Blue channel coming on instead of red 😅

@lia It will be using Pint light bar instead of the GT light bar. The GT has 11-5v rgbs and 4-12v headlight leds on 2 circuits and the Pint has 13- 5 v rgbs. I think it will be fine. Thanks.

@lia You're right , the Pint rgb light strip with 13 leds lights up 11 with the Gt controller which is fine for now.
Meanwhile, the GTP runs great on the bench, however, I got anxious, careless , moved the bms, touched the bms on the frame rail and smoked the bms.
I will build a18s 1p Molicel 42a battery tomorrow.
I robbed the bns from my GT for now to finish the project.

Is it completely toast or possibly repairable?

@lia Non repairable at the moment, a piece blown out of one of the big square chips and a unknown value resistor blown away.

I thought I would beat FM to a hot rod Pint.
