RE: Future Motion announcement in twelve hours
@onedangts My rationale is three-fold:
Firstly, I've been in the market for a new board for a long while now. I have family that likes to ride them when they visit, and my XR and Pint just aren't enough for everyone. I'm already pushing the limits on my XR so the time has come to upgrade, if only for safety's sake.
Secondly, I'm not really into tinkering, at least not enough to start a project board that I will have to maintain over time. I've got work and school, and between them both, my free time is at a premium.
Thirdly, the Funwheel has yet to develop a complete kit that suits my needs. The Floatwheel by comparison is very enticing, and I am still considering getting one, but the lead time and method of purchase isn't quite refined enough yet. The fragile plastic components also gave me pause.
Considering my use case and preferences, the GTS makes sense. I wanted something fast and reliable that my family and I can ride confidently at speed on mostly paved roads. The GT platform has an active aftermarket, which continues to develop, so I made my choice.

RE: In The Wild, Photo Share (If Possible To Capture).... Keep Your OneWheel In The Shot If You Can.

RE: An Ounce (a few grams) of Prevention
@s-leon I ate my fair share of shit today! Was cruising around, enjoying the beautiful weather. I saw one of my neighbors walking down the street, so i took my eyes off the road for a moment, failing to notice an unusually deep pothole concealed by a tree shadow overhead. I hit the bowl like depression cock-eyed, the wheel rotates out from under me and i basically trust fall the pavement at a few mph. Knocked the wind right out of me! Just writhing around on the ground trying to catch my breath for a few minutes. Visited the ER as a precaution... Gonna be sore tomorrow but probably fine.

RE: Share your float playlist <3
I'll try to reconstruct my prior playlist if only to clean up this thread. i'll try to keep the tracks deeeeep. Almost anything 80's and 90's is a hit with me.

Misfits- if you can listen to any of these ur cool in my book. Saturday Night, Descending Angel is sorta mainstream but it's good. Last Caress is, umm, confusing to some not at least partially drawn to the edge but brilliant nonetheless. I like the 50's horror vibe lol. Theme for a Jackal too is great. worth perusing imo.Not punk enough?

It's a bit out there like the Misfits in terms of one's aesthetic tastes, but H., Pushit, Eulogy, stinkfist, Third Eye, Sober (thats on the album undertow)... parabol n parabola, Schism are great too. those are on the album lateralus. It's angry unbridled poetry. danny carey is one of the best drummers in the entire world!continuing down the dial there is the eighties... an era of unparalleled musical diversity! such a fabulous array of incredible talent.

Matthew seemed fine
it can be really intimidating at first, especially if u fall hard. backside anything is downright spooky.
im teaching an old snowboarding buddy of mine to ride the pint im now glad i didnt sell, n he was legitimately down for the count for two weeks after that first ride. joints swollen. sore muscles everywhere. no falling at all lol. for aging desk jockies looking to regain some adventure in their life, it can be like going to boot camp! u buy it, regret it briefly, then love it, then lose fear, then gain fear, then average out somewhere in between. or so ive heard.
