Low mileage pint for spares or repair
-
Hi, first post here...
Just looking at options after breaking a pin on the controller side of the footpad sensor connector on my pint.
18 months old, other than broken connector in excellent condition, ~150 miles.
Any interest in buying for repair or I could break and sell parts.
Seems a simple DIY fix with this part but as my son and his friends ride it too I don't want to take responsibility with my soldering.

Sorry should have added based in UK near Guildford, hence why sending to FM isn't really an option.

Sorry to hear your Pint broke a pin. I'm not in the market for another Pint but if you rather keep the board I would be up for soldering on a replacement port if you would like?
I'm over in Towcester (South Northamptonshire) btw.

@lia very kind offer, thanks 🙂 think I may have a go myself after all.

@spacepi1ot Good luck :)
One tip with soldering the new port is to try secure the pins when heat is applied. The heat can deform the plastic housing a little and lead to the pins coming out of alignment a little. I usually find connecting the other end of a port when soldering helps.

Got the parts and finally had time to have a go at repairing. Damaged the pcb tracks taking the old socket off so hard wired to the link between the socket mount and main board. Only seems to need the left, right and ground connecting. So good so far 🙂
@Lia thanks for the advice, info I found on pin outs that was one of your posts and confidence to have a go.
