Watching Action on the Leaderboards

@biell -- In the line-up of mileage on a Plus today I am #1111 on my other board with 686 miles. I have a ways to go -- part of the joy, though, is watching the climb.
-
@s-leon I like to think in binary, so you are #31 in my book!
-
@biell -- Binary numbers are indeed good-looking numbers. If I relink my first Plus, in binary it would be #11 -- actually, FranKtheTanK likely has passed me, so I would really be at binary #100 -- and either way, you would drop down a notch. I will try to hold off relinking; it would be great to have you on the Leaderboard!
-
@s-leon Thanks. I like to earn my place, so no hard feelings if you re-link.
It did get me to thinking, however. Would you think twice with such a highly ranked board before selling or gifting it? My wife was trying to convince me to gift my Plus to a friend when my GT arrives (apparently 2 is OK, but 3 is too many). I'm not ready to give up my first board (sentimental value and all that), but it did make me wonder how I might feel to see someone on the leaderboard with the first 6249+ mi put on by me. I literally earned those miles with blood, sweat, and tears (and a broken clavicle). Did this ever cross your mind?
-
@biell -- Really a good point. Yes, I have put thought in about what to do with a high mileage Leaderboard Onewheel -- with no clear conclusions. I am in that boat with my V1. Part-out is one thought, saving back the controller. Another is sell, gift, or trade the earned place on the Leaderboard for the meager advertising it provides -- of course, the only riders who really look at the Leaderboard are probably those on it. Do you, or anyone else here, have ideas of what to do with a retired white elephant Onewheel?

This week’s February 20th action on the Onewheel Leaderboards:
A new name on the XR Mileage Leaderboard: Squasher comes in at #4 with 20720 miles!
The long time riders on the XR Daystreak have logged a total of 262 miles this week.
The long time Plus Daystreak riders have logged a total of 185 miles. And the V1 Daystreak sees turnover in its lower reaches. Interestingly Darwin samir dropped off from #5 during the week, but regained entry and even moved up a place to #4 with fewer days and less miles than they had last week. HanahsDax stays constant at #1.
I must admit when I was riding a V1 I loved it that the bar for entry to the V1 Daystreak Leaderboard was often less than a full week of riding — in the case this week a name new to me, orijo, takes #5 on the V1 Daystreak with five days and five miles.
The Onewheel Plus mileage Leaderboard shows no change in names or order, with 99 miles logged total and Colorado rider MdubM-OWMOBSHOP at #2 logging 77% of those ninety-nine miles.
The V1 Onewheel mileage Leaderboard shows even less action than the Plus with only Southern Hemisphere rider Andre Danforth in #8 logging any miles at all — 19 miles this week.

Somebody else really should watch the Pint and Pint X Leaderboards and report in this thread. Ditto with the GT when it shows up!
-
Surprise! Two new names on the V1 mileage Leaderboard: At #9 Normands Onewheel and at #10 TJ04 (of the United Kingdom!) Welcome! It's been a long time since we saw new names here on V1. And I think this is andrew_mangel's first time as #1. Congratulations.

HanahsDax occupied the top two places on the V1 Daystreak today when I looked at noon. Tied with himself for first place with equal days and equal mileage! That Leaderboard glitch has evidenced itself in the past, too, occasionally. But it is fun to see!
On the Plus Daystreak FranKtheTanK has dropped off with his second Plus -- having occupied three Leaderboard slots with three different Onewheels for quite a while: V1 mileage, Plus mileage, and Plus Daystreak.
-
This will surely upset some people.
The XR has been moved down the leaderboard below the Pint and PintX along with the GT that now appears at the top with 0 entries as of typing.
Order is now
- GT
- PintX
- Pint
- XR
- Plus
- V1
Makes sense considering they no longer sell it, keep the boards that they actually sell up top.
That said it will surely leave a sour taste for some. -

On the GT DayStreak JoMatty is the first and only -- with one day and four miles at 2:54 pm Ohio time!
Interestingly no entry is yet listed on the GT mileage Leaderboard.
-
At 2:58 pm Ohio time a new entry on the GT Daystreak: SloeDean at #2 with one mile.
-
The GT mileage Leaderboard has a five-way tie (in alphabetical order) for 3rd -- all with zero miles. (at 3:06 pm Ohio time)
-
Six GT miles for JoMatty at 3:21 pm Ohio time... Now seven at 3:23 pm Ohio time.
-
A third rider has shown: Jaydanhoward tied at GT #2 -- 3:30 pm Ohio time. That bumps the other four to fourth place (with zero miles).
-
Pulling into strong GT second now at 3:36 pm Ohio time: Jaydanhoward with 2 GT miles!
Three GT miles at 3:42 pm. Watch out JoMatty!
-
JoMatty must be watching because they are again on the move -- now at 3:48 pm Ohio time, 8 GT miles.
And at 3:50 pm, JoMatty has nine GT miles.
-
A fourth active GT rider: silvacyles tied for third with their first GT mile at 3:52 pm Ohio time.
So... that's how it all transpired during the first hour of action on the the GT Leaderboards!

My 5 minutes of fame on the GT mileage leaderboard. Hit 101 miles after 46 hours of ownership. Charging the bad boy up to see if I can sneak back on there for another few mins. As most of you know, I’m not a high-speed, high mileage rider but a high altitude rider who loves shredding the gnarliest single tracks I can find. Unfortunately all the local trails are covered under a foot or more of snow. I’ve got a V1 streak to maintain and a couple XRs that deserve attention as well.
