63 YO new pint X
-
It was a blast this morning, riding alone to the coffee shop ( close to 10 miles round trip).
I normally riding with e-bikes, being alone looks so peaceful 🙂. I am riding less to keep my legs fresh for the slalom ski. 🤣. The 1000 miles will be for the next month 😱🥺

1000 miles 😱… in less than 7 months 🫣. Pint X looks to be a great pick, range, speed, cost.
My main concern is the weight 🤨, other wise I will rate it 9/10. I installed the anti diving front wheels, if you forget to switch the board “on”; you crash yourself ☹️.

@divouneh Cracked the 20mph barrier! Congrats ^-^
-
The mode “ Mode Redwood X” must normally extend the range due to lower speed…
I will test soon, riding between Lewes to Rehoboth using the Breakwater trail… 🤨 -
@lia I don’t feel the 20mph is accurate 😌…
-
1 year and little more than 1500 miles 🙄… still love it …
I have the last software however impossible to reach 20 mph as they claim in the web site… -
@divouneh The pintX should be able to do 20. It's using the same voltage as the XR, which I've inched up to 23, 24 mph. However, I'm about 140-150lbs (depending on what the semester is looking like)
You should check your tire PSI and see if it's gotten a little low. Also, don't attempt going fast on windy days. Outside of your board, the biggest two things that affect speed is weight and wind resistance. (I think)

I will go back to France, my Onewheel is travelling by boat… a very long trip 😝. Wish battery will survive 4 months without charging 😫

Starting slow with a curb and stacked wood is a smart way to build feel for the board before adding height. Progression like that tends to beat jumping straight to bigger obstacles. One thing worth adding as you raise the wood: practice stepping off cleanly at low speed too, so bailing feels routine rather than sudden. @divouneh, good to hear you're geared up. Curious how long you've been riding and whether you're on a Pint X specifically, since the smaller platform changes the stance a bit.

e foot position @rc's reply describes, feet closer to the hub, gives a quicker ankle-based turn, so maybe test that on your left side specifically. The regular short-session idea is also solid, since your feet and ankles build tolerance gradually rather than all at once. At 57 with good balance, the left side just needs its own repetition, not a different technique.
