      Today, future motion just announced the Pint-S. It's got the preformance tire, maghandle pro, flared footpads and a +2mph range boost.

      They are also bringing over custom shaping over to the pint platform (I think)

          @lia Same
          If my mom hadn't bought her pint back in May, I would have told her to buy a Pint X. Though it seems like the Pint-S is just a souped up Pint X with better firmware, black rails, batter tire, handle and footpads

          I don't think they should be calling this a new board, but we will have to wait and see when the TFL gets their hands on it and does a teardown. I was hoping that with the S name it would be like the GT-S with a new battery and new guts and stuff. It would be a nice to have a proper fast Pint that can actually haul ass

          20MPH is fast, though I feel like at 1,400 it should at least have a few pint-s exclusives (A motor remixed/redesigned for higher speed (or higher KV rating, maybe RGB headlights, or just something different)

          113 volts?! I could lick that!

            @loaffette Yeah I'm shocked they aren't using the S series motor on this Like it uses the same S from the s series so you'd expect the same blue highlights that came with the GTS. Hoping it's not a simple case of special firmware and nothing hardware related.

            At 20mph this is now on paper better than the XR since the range is identical.

            Excited to see what TFL make of it. Hopefully soon ^-^

              @lia I bet someone might try and put the GT-S motor in the board. It'd probably be a waste of money, but it would probably at least be fitting.

              Also the all-black color gives me an idea

                @loaffette said in Pint-S (I'm calling it the pocket rocket):

                Aha this was me putting a Superflux on a stock GT and facedesking at the thought of all the loss in power from the weight gain with nothing to drive it.

                  @loaffette i love the look of the S, and it sounds like it's a sweet spot for me as far as range goes. i don't really care too much about the new footpads -- although, less chance of the Mount of Shame is nice -- and the Mag handle isn't super crucial for me either. Neither is the tire. I'm not a speed demon, so i'm meh on that. So then i look again at the X, and i think, "well dang, i could just save several hundred dollars and get that. it has the same specs, and it's getting the same firmware update, and that's all i need."

                  All that being said, the S really is a pretty machine, so... drool.

                        @loaffette Big oof 😶
                        Idk. It is priced at what the PintX was so technically still better for the money but I'd still want those little QOL bumps for an S series.

                        Also that screen snippy you posted shows that bumper edge they mentioned which I couldn't spot on my first viewing. Pretty big so maybe that is for the rail guards like they suggested.
