@s-leon I'd be interested in the snow cables. got a pic,
got a question for you since your plus is zombied; is it possible to zombie a 4209 a run on a vamp battery only w/out bms? -
Hi @b0ardski -- I do have a photo of the cable chains on my board -- but I have to find it to post.
-
@s-leon how much you want for them? I was worried about the clearance.
-
@b0ardski -- I looked but did not find a photo of the cable chains on my board. On Facebook in the Onewheel Riders group search for Geoff Oliver. He made the cable chains and has several posts and videos about them. I ride extended rails so I never worried about clearance. My plan when I got them was to ride on lake ice -- smooth, flat, extensive, and abundant in Northeast Ohio usually come February. But after trying the cable chains and wearing them a bit on snow-covered pavement I found I do not enjoy handling them to put them on and take them off. That, plus experience with treaded tires doing very well in snow, and somehow a lost desire to ride on solid water makes me think someone else would like to try.

and somehow a lost desire to ride on solid water
eek... maybe with a soccasin.

@notsure -- Soccasins work great on ice and in snow! But too much contact with pavement tears them up.

@s-leon Thank you! Now my Plus is back to stock.

To keep my Onewheel Plus motors running for a long time into the future, today I ordered a couple XR stators from Josh Haley. I figure now is an opportune time to pick up some XR stators fairly cheaply as many XR hubs (the stators' outsides) are going to GTs.
-
@s-leon Good idea, hoping some show up near me sometime so I can pick some up too. Shame to know they came from a good working unit parted out but nice to be able to give them new life later.

The XR/Plus stators I ordered from Josh Haley came in today looking good. Now to squirrel them away until I need them.
