Louder Beep (GT)

Can anyone point me to details of the Beep for a GT? Where is the device located? Does anyone know the voltage? Any ideas for increasing the volume?

I heard that one of the firmware updates quieted the beep, but that may not be true. I wish it was louder.. a lot louder! I would rather hear it so I am not second guessing the pushback. Thanks!

@easynow Hiya,

The buzzer in the GT is in the front compartment next to the LEDs that shine up through the footpad. I've circled it below on an image pulled from reddit.

I'm not sure what the voltage is that runs the little piezo buzzer but increasing it would make it louder. Question is how to drive it and if the buzzer can take the extra voltage without causing issues elsewhere.

@liaLast year I had an idea of using a small electric motor with an offset weight like an cell phone vibrator but a little bigger.
I tried this in my board and I can really feel the vibrations on my front footpad. It was wired to a hand held momentary switch just for proof of concept.
I'm not good at electrics to be able to convert the piezo signal to a constant current, so the idea fizzled away.
Maybe I'll resurrect the idea.
