Found a new route today to get out from one town and to a neighboring city. Tried it out and got some pics. The majority of it was following a towpath along a canal. Here's the best ones 🥰
Beginning the canal stretch of the journey Stoke Bruerne. Pretty village although not really a fun place to be so I don't stick around long.

A common threat on canals and beside a lot of farmers fields is blackthorn bushes. The bushes are fine, it's the clipping. Lazy trimming ends up leaving loads of massive thorns that can be like 2cm long just laying like spike strips. On 3rd party tires these will just cleanly go through the tire. Thankfully I'm still rolling stock rubber so it just ignores even these evil thorns. That said... can't be mad, view is still beautiful.

Bank gets slimmer and path gets less defined in a lot of spots. Not nearly the worst spot but a few later on were barely traversable safely on foot so riding was out of the question. Definitely have to scrub this route from the planned route with some of the other women I was planning >.>

Another pretty little village. Ended up chilling here chatting to a chap moored up for a bit about things. Nice guy and had a cat that wanted cuddles so was well worth the trip.

This was atop of an aqueduct entering the edges of Milton Keynes. Very pretty

So I made it into MK. No pics to share since it's not a super picturesque place at least where I ended up.

A sucker for a good sunset 🥰

-
@lia that's an awesome sunset
-
@wheelwizard It really was. I completely detoured to get a good vantage point for it ^-^

Taken 20 mins before a spill I took earlier tonight 😅

I am going to contribute with one.
This used to be one of my goto place on the Isle of Man meanwhile we were living there..

-
@scabaa How is living on the isle of man? I hear it's quite pretty!
-
Debut of my new ride. Took forever to get it running but she’s a great little machine. Photogenic just like her sisters 🥰

-
@lia It was really nice! I had like 2400 miles there alone with 175k feet/54k meters elevation just in a year. Quiet roads, some nice trails and amazing view all around! Also conveniently placed charging points.
Btw nice new ride! You built on GT platform as I see. What are the specs? Here is a bit of an Isle of Man map and routes I've been with onewheel:

-
@scabaa Oh wow there are just sockets around available to use?? That must be sooooo good for those rides. I'm still daisy chaining starbucks and McDonalds for reliable sockets here in middle EnglandðŸ˜
Are the locals chill about you riding?GT platform all the way. It's just better for putting power in safely. I'm using:
- Thor301
- GTFO BMS and headlights
- Purple anodized Superflux to GT rail axle blocks
- Superflux V2 stator and a V3 HT hub
- Thundercat BTGF tire
- WTF regular matte black rails
- Lowboy front footpad
- Kush wide retro purple rear footpad
- Mini flight fins
- Custom flight fender and flight shield

@lia IOM locals are super nice. They were more like interested in what is that I am riding haha.. more like amazed :D
I've used normal car charging points which were in good locations. I used one of these for that:

But now in North of England and I am not really blessed with any public charging points.. none of those are next to any trails/routes.
Your new board looks pretty solid with those specs! I was also thinking about getting a broken GT and GTFO it. You should have decent power with SFHT and good range still with the battery!
-
Also Isle of Man is super safe. I could just leave my onewheel on the charger like this.. go for toilet, have some food and nobody is touching it.. even if you leave it there for an hour like this:

-
@lia is that a new frame Lia or is that the one from your original GT?
looks great, how does it ride?
