Onewheel GT with faint beep from the controler
-
Hi everyone,
This is my first post here in this forum as it seems you guys are quite helpfull and have passed through a lot of different experiences with your wheels :)A few weeks ago I was cruzing with my Onewheel GT (with 3000km) and while on a trail with some rocks , the onewheel just turned off with signs of life anymore.
Back home, I opened for the first time the controller box to check if it was the batery cable that got unpluged but everything seemed fine with the controler. No componets with burned aspect or anything like that.
The only behaviour that caught my attention was a faint beep from the controler everytime I click on the power button. Also if I keep the button pressed, the beep repeats with the same frequency.
Thanks in advanve :)

@heitor Hiya~
Does the GT not turn on at all anymore even with the charger connected?
I'm wondering if you can get the app to connect to provide an error code. -
@lia thanks for you answer,
No, unfortunately no luck at all with the onewheel turning on. It just beeps and that's it.
I can't even identify the exact place from where it beeps but it not coming from the small speaker component.I have already ordered a GTV kit but still I really wanted to understand why this is happening. Baterry is for sure at 100% because I left it connected 1 entire day.
One thing is also important to mention is that I have not unplugged the BMS cable from the controler as I read that would be really hard to make it work again, but maybe because I already unpluged the battery cable it already broken the BMS. -
@heitor That's a weird one. Can't say I've heard of this one before and I can't hear the beep in the video sadly.
The BMS only gets the firmware corruption error if the battery is unplugged from the BMS. Controller side it's fine. The fact it at least beeps a little suggests the power connectors are still seated enough to initially do something.
Since the GTV kit is on the way there isn't much harm in popping the lid to the battery and using a multimeter to test the voltage off the battery just to be sure it's not low just in case (Just be sure not to remove the battery connector from the BMS). The charger can't guarantee it actually charged the board.

Ive literally had this same thing happen to me with my GT. I updated my board to the latest firmware (like an idiot) and picked the board up and engaged the motor with my hands forward then backwards. Then my motor came to a stop and there was no signs of life after that. Ive left it plugged into the charger for days with no response from the app. No error codes or nothing. The board doesn't even show up also no power to the board. I took the board completely apart insuring not to remove the BMS cable for the controller and inspected the inside of the controller box. As I push the power button you can hear a tiny faint beep from the controller but nothing happens after that. I really miss riding this damn board. Ive been borrowing my buddies XR to scratch my itch in while I wait for some solid answers because FM just wants me to send it in and it's out of warranty so screw that.
