The only og parts are the batt box and BMS from my 1st xr that started throwing error 21, (charger still plugged in when it's not); used 3k mi 4209 controller, stretched rails from ebay, new pads and bumpers, landsurf fender, witz hub and tire w/1600 mi., 200 mi on new stock battery, and rasta foam pads w/fishbones under the rug coming after a good test ride. 1000$ worth of parts not including bms.
Any of you tinkerers know were to start look to fix error 21 issues on my old 4209 controller?

RE: jOneDanXR Ready for a New Home
@s-leon we call'em goblets
lot's of horny toms in our yard almost every day, I'm going to really miss living here.
the sound his wingtips made scratching on the frozen snowpack was eerie. -
RE: Onewheel Photoshoot Thread
don't have a recent one right now but this is worth a repost

RE: A light grocery getter from repurposed parts
now that's really a frankenboard! nice work!
here's mine, but it's the daily driver, since error 21 on the original.
stretched rails, 1800mi witz motor/ tire, 3000mi 4209, 3000mi bms the only og part, new fm pads (f the fourth layer of plastic, it makes the fishbones under the rug sketchy), toe straps off old snowboard bindings,

RE: Onewheel Photoshoot Thread
@s-leon this inspires me to take my wheel across the swinging bridge over Kooteney Falls Gorge. I'll be hunting for photogenic spots this spring.
recently replace so now it's even higher.

RE: What do people in your life think about your Onewheel(s)?
I've been a skibum for almost 40yrs so Mom's numb to it, while my wife Becki call's herself a onewheel widow ;-/
she does ride the ebike with me occasionally tho. -
RE: Lessons of Minor Falls
Lesson 1; Don't accelerate up steep hills. scratched ppe
lesson2; Watch for gravel near the edge of the road when carving hard. rolled out w/a couple bruises
lesson 3; Don't slalom the goose shit so hard a and fast that the broard turns out from under you. helmet hit 1st and died saving my life
lesson 4; Don't go for "one last ride" at dusk after drinking past the "3 beer zone". Unseen pothole gravel trail, slammed my already pulled hip from pint ghosting earlier that day, embedded gravel in helmet and forearm, concussion didn't remember crashing riding back to the truck and driving home, wondered how my arm and hip got fucked up in the morning , surprised to see gravel stuck in my cracked helmet. memories came back a couple days later, hip took weeks to get back to normal

RE: Whys of Falls
@swinefeaster I had been thinking of taking off my mini fangs but they gave me that split second of deceleration before watching the pavement approaching my face, think I'll keep'em on. My 30 year old rollerblade wrist guards kicked ass, but I'll be looking for better elbow pads that stay put, maybe the forearm ones. neglected the knee pads lately and paid the price.
admittedly past my "3 beer zone" accelerated too much on a deceiving uphill. kinda shot my weekend. -

toe straps off old snowboard bindings,
oh man i love that! does it work?
the straps work like the toe hooks on my 1st wheel, really helps keep the ball of my feet engaged when doing big fast heelside carves!!
just set my lifetime speed to 21.7 doing big full street wide arched back carves in my favorite recently paved low/no traffic zone! staightlining at 21 feels sketchy, carving big at that speed feels stable

@lia would be fun to do a frankenboard ride w/ all you kooks

RE: Rear Pint footpad as a front footpad
This is great Lemur, last october I had a ghosting dis-mounting my pint. lifted the heel set the tail down and it shot backwards forcing me into the splits that pulled my hip out painfully (which I slammed an hour later nosediving the xr embedding gravel in my now cracked helmet). It shot into a curb just a couple feet away, tipped over with the wheel spinning full speed till I turned it off. It seems there was exposed edge of the sensor and a hole in the griptape from gravel in my shoe. Scared of it now.
Bought new pads on blkfri but might try this with the old pads. -
RE: Onewheel Photoshoot Thread
@s-leon it's only a 50' drop to the water but the butterfly's don't know the difference, would only ride it if nobody else is on it!! It's called the swinging bridge for a reason, but the new one is a bit more stable.

RE: Share your float playlist <3
Don't usually ride w/music but some some of my best snowboard runs were to this album. The Motet, Play. chicken scratch-do what you want tracks are favs!

Yes , I made that out of 1/4" abs and doubles as a float plate.
The toe hook really helps me on the heelside turns, I snowboarded for all my life and you really need to be locked in for the heelside carve, turn or slide.thats why I made a toe hook and use a flightfin for the back foot.
love the incorporated float plate
btw I had a Kemper bullet181 raceboard back in the day
