A suspension question: Should I think about this? Do my rails torque, twist, or behave unevenly with Kiil Ride Suspension because of my not having a battery box? Instead, on the back I just have a slab of plastic wood about 3/4 inch thick screwed on as a footpad. Could it be putting extra wear on my bearings? Or should I not be concerned? Thanks for your input on this.

@s-leon I think if you have that slab of wood screwed on the top rail, that should be enough to prevent too much twisting. Maybe if you added wooden spacers so you also use screws on the bottom of the rails that would make a closed box, which is even stronger.
I don't think the bearings would not present any problems, however, the sliding axle holders have to be almost parallel in 3 axis to prevent binding and wear , hence the top cross brace. -
@lemur -- Thanks! The box idea is good and easy enough to implement.
