Badger Bumper install on an XR (Clowns are involved)
-
No, clowns are involved. Seriously.
So, yesterday I got my new bumpers in. I did the swap in the Student Center because my roommate was taking a test virtually and couldn't have any one in the room. Weird stuff.
So right away, I got a ton of screws, and a baggie that had a hex key, some stickers and a QR code to the B.A.N.G bumper install video.
Ooops.
Lol, more screws for me!So, I was a bit surprised and confused to find those brackets. I looked around on youtube and found a tutorial that I followed that helped out a lot.
)
(This video helped out, and was pretty nice.
A few things to note though.
First:
Some of the screws are TINY. Like.
That's the literal definition of "Don't talk to me or my son ever again"Second:
Screw holes didn't line up. I got confused at first. There's these rails that are supposed to relocate the front-bottom screws for both bumpers so the screws don't get filed down into a chamfer/draft. They had screw holes and they weren't fitting.
Pulled the brackets out and took a deep look.
I then noticed this:This foam was in the way. Took my Allen key and scraped some of the foam away, and..
They fit!
Also, as I was doing this, the schools spirit organization called the "Purple Poo" showed up. They are literaly a bunch of people dressed up as clowns with cartonnishly funny voices and just
cause effin' chaos.They scared me when they showed up, and almost dropped my board onto the ground lol!
After about 45 minutes..
They were on!

Nice tire!!! Bumpers look nice too ;)

@onedangt Thanks!
Tire is a huge change! Turns are tighter, I've got more control and I do like the sound it makes whenever I go over the bricks or whenever I go fast enough
