Suspension board upgraded.

-Plus controller replace with a 4209, had to open it up to repair the light bar wiring and with badgering, it was a pain to open up the case. Also the connectors inside the controller were pretty well bonded together with badgering sealant.
-Made a custom wiring harness with a stubby connector.
-Pint bms with custom flashed Jw chip.
Now the board runs the way I like, although I'm using Custom shaping to get the nose down as swing arm suspension tends to ride tail slightly tail down.
I will be working on an improved version soon as now I know what needs to be improved. -
@lemur the wrecking ball strikes again
-
@lemur it looks so comfy.
i love it so much it hurts...
i want one so bad. -
@lemur amazing. i wonder how it feels compared to the kiilguards setup
-
@swinefeaster I had a set of Kiilguards 6.5 and I really didn't like them because of the spring shocks which were hard to tailor to my light weight and I had to get a custom light springs.
In most applications, spring suspension is not progressive, but I see Kiilguard offers a new setup with shorter air shocks.
In my opinion, the setup really didn't look very good, and the sliders were exposed to the elements.
For a Onewheel application , one shock is more than enough, although the Kiilguard design, there was no choice but to use dual shocks.
I sold the Kiiguards and designed my own. -

whats ur opinion of the sonnywheels suspension kit?
https://sonnywheels.com/products/oneshock?variant=39673401442388
-
@notsure The Sonny wheels suspension looks like a good concept with a single shock. I do see room for improvement though.
The swing arm pivots are threaded bolts instead of smooth pivot points, I'm not sure if the bolt on swing arm pivots are printed or machined and the welding looks rough.
Just my personal opinion, but I'm a bit anal about quality work.
It reminds me of the ww2 British Sten smg in ease of manufacturing, simple, and fully functional. -

he's filed for a provisional... has a website with traffic history for the seo... https://sonnywheels.com/pages/contact-us
im old too! quit hoggin it dude! markets don't just happen.

@notsure Sonny has put a lot of work with his sliders and oneshock, costs may has to do with the final product.
The quality air shock alone must be $100-150 alone, but what really sells in the OW accessories market is a lot of function but with "bling" . Cnc with anodizing together with hype.
Old saying in marketing "sex sells".
Honestly, for me to give a fair assessment of Sonny's oneshock, I would have to physically have his product in hand. The previous comments were just my opinions. -

I sold the Kiiguards and designed my own.hmmm fair enough. do you use your suspension for smoothing out the bumps or for drops? i do a lot of drops, so i need the extra travel. i know what you mean about the sliders, i'm on my third set of bearings already.
-
@swinefeasterWow! Third set of bearings. I ride pavement and trails mostly and I haven't done big drops, just curbs . I will going for bigger drops and get some feedback.
