@vitahlity How old was the Pint ? What was the final sold price ?

More than just laser-etched S/N on rails matching to controller S/N ... don't they look after all the stickers and embedded labels all over other parts to verify it's the actual complete board? Not the one built to be appearing as 'complete' but broken. Following out of curiosity ...

@onedangts I kinda guessed the shipping would be a pain to the UK, a PintX would have been nice to have but your one was not destined to be over here.

And to be fairly honest - my first thought was: Why is FM contradicting themselves on their statements??
At first Adam says: "... this will probably never happen again ... " and then in comments they reply:

Got the parts and finally had time to have a go at repairing. Damaged the pcb tracks taking the old socket off so hard wired to the link between the socket mount and main board. Only seems to need the left, right and ground connecting. So good so far 🙂

@Lia thanks for the advice, info I found on pin outs that was one of your posts and confidence to have a go.

Well, here's the story...
I've actually checked that link on ~monthly basis ever since I put it out here in early december. And you know what - they've actually changed the claim of 'TEMPORARY DEAL' on the fly.
Firstly -- in dec. '22 it was "pre-Xmas holidays extra deal" or smth. [just as hyperlink spelling above confirms]
Secondly -- in jan. '23 it was "new year's special offer" or something alike. (Regretting I didn't took any screenshots by guessing things evolve that way.)
Now, thirdly -- it reads: "Order the Onewheel XR now and get €200 discount. This is a temporary deal that runs until 28 February 2023. There is a limited stock so gone = gone." (*I think these previous and following sentence in the claim have not been altered.)

I am eager to see what's gonna happen within next ~24 hrs. :}
Oh .. btw, somewhere between second and third alteration the price have changed a bit as well

Apparently they are trying to sell off at any cost. Which makes sense of course .. instead shipping 'em back to FM (to another continent).

@onedangt -- Yes, this Nakto ebike seems more suited to, and comfortable in transporting a Onewheel than my Ancheer mountain ebike is. And the EGO battery for my Plus or V1 fits right in the front basket. The range of the ebike works well for my purpose of to-the-Greenway-and-back. True, more range for the OneDanXR would be desirable -- I'm thinking a CarvePower booster with an EGO source battery, all set up to deliver 60 volts and five or so amps. Of course, the system would need a new fender/platform -- a project for which I need to be in the mood to coordinate the variables in its build.

@biell air pads are hefty too!
