Oh dang! I watched that vid but missed the single sensor part coz i got pissed off by how he was slamming on the stock pad like an ape. This vid is very stupid tbh.
Edit: I dont like posi either tbh. The dual pad is about the only fail-safe we have and im no trickster.

Personally did not understand why snowboard (nose-) attachment is not listed whilst 'Ski attachment' is. But yeah, as always -- love the innovation!
And by now .. as specualtions for price were much higher before .. this ~4k euros for best retail option is actually LESS than 2x OW+ XR price when these were first launched in EU market. Yet still a pricey "toy" (with all it's complexity and maintainance) but I can see why.

If we need some beta testers I'd be interested. My gt controller fried itself a few weeks ago. This has led to the decision to not even attempt fighting with FM over a warranty repair that they'd likely deny anyway based on the countless horror stories online. As I've begun to gather the parts to vesc and upgrade my board, I'm quickly approaching having a whole other board from diy parts. As such, this has me looking for pieces I'm missing. One I haven't been able to find are GT compatible housings.

@hanahsdax Thanks, 40+lbs difference probably has a lot to do with it. I haven't been 140 since before I stopped growing, so I don't think that is an option for me. I also rarely ride at 20psi, I am normally in the 17-18 range to help soak up the terrain.

@loaffette I wish! The hack requires setting the BOOT1 pin high. And either by accident or forethought, Future Motion grounded that pin underneath the chip.

You have to physically disconnect it from that ground to load the firmware dumping exploit into SRAM. Sadly, we haven't found a way around that.

Now if the Bluetooth chip on the controller, the OTA mechanisms, or one of the other peripherals have access to the memory of the STM32, then we have a chance. But all of that kind of stuff is way above my head too.

I was only able to do this hack because there was a research paper documenting this exploit and someone had already tried it on the Onewheel.

So I managed to become a beta tester for the haptic buzz for VESC.

It’s a trip hearing and feeling the motor buzz, but it only feels like if someone strapped a vibration motor to my board and kept spinning it
