Wellll, no dice... New thermistors in, board on the balcony for a few hours at +6 C and almost immediately triggered the same fault. Battery temp at that moment +11 C.

If anyone has some more pointers or measurements to take to narrow it down, please let me know. I'll be disassembling it again today or tomorrow :(

Also, any working BMS on offer?

Makes me confident I can do the same to my old XR that is bound to be in no better condition 😅

@justinxr Could be the corner bolts that hold the end of the rail down to the bumper. I usually forget or just don't bother adding those ones since they can sometimes get stuck.
If you remove the footpads you can check those either end without having to take it all apart again.

If not those there's 2 that directly hold the controller box to the rail rather that passing through the bumper you can check.

@ikaruspint Yes, the 2n7002ps-115 are the correct mosfets.

Update: I'm pretty sure it's doomed. I'm not sure I can fix that. Let me know if you still think it's salvageable. Not really sure what would have caused it. This is what it looks like under the balance connector.

If the price is okay I'd take the risk. Getting actual chips from companies like Mouser, Digikey and LCSC can be pricey once you get to the shipping screen. I've gotten chips from eBay and AliExpress (likely the same source) without many issues for things like IMUs, Mosfets and a handful of logic ICs.
Get multiple though just in case you need to redo it. No more than 5 should be fine. IMU's are fragile so you may need to try a few times.

@lia Update: It is indeed NOT fixed. After 2 half charges, the symptoms returned. I have noticed that it happens when going uphill. Going to do some testing on the BMS and see if I can track down any faulty parts.

@cw_o You can try NRF or DigTilt to recalibrate the imu, have the board level when recalibrating.

@lemur i wish it was that but i tested all of the main harness wires with a multimeter and everything seems to be in order. Also i tested the balance connector’s pins with a multimeter and it appears to have a short through multiple pins.

@ikaruspint It should be no problem pairing.

@aiden1983 At this point I cannot give you any good advice, just guessing.
Just be aware throwing parts at it may not be cost effective and may cause a massive short that can cause a fire, ask me how I know.
I always plug in the battery outside after a repair.
Maybe look for a working Pint controller circuit board instead. Sorry.

@compo Hi! I have the same issue. Same noise. No charging, no powering on. Dead. Have you had any luck repairing?
Only 600 miles on this Pint X. Already replaced control module 120 miles ago. So disappointing. Getting frustrated with this thing.

My onewheel plus started showing 4.2 at full charge instead of 3.6 for the lifepo on only one cell. This gave me some reassurance that the BMS is just false reporting after a certain voltage because i notice it does fine all the way till around 3.6 than cell group 1 just skyrockets to the high 4s which would most likely have exploded the battery several times over if it were true as ive only just noticed and have been charging it to 58.4v for years. Im not as skilled as you so im just gonna leave it as is, overcharge warning has only shut the board off on me one time and never while riding, only when i came to a full stop after running downhill.
