    • Pint XV charging problem

      In a quest to learn more about the various component parts and their interactions, I fear that I’ve managed myself into deep water trouble?! Ironically, if I’d just done ‘nothing more’ after my first installation effort all would have been fine, but instead I somehow convinced myself that I’d screwed the VESC software. Next followed various uploads, including FW update (from V3), 3x PintV cfg, float package and finally the PintV critical battery threshold parameter resets:
      FW = v6.05
      HW = Little FOCer V3
      UUID = 50003C000551343031333534

      Alas, the battery will no longer charge and I’m out of my depth … any helpful suggestions would be very well received?

      With hindsight, I can vaguely recall seeing the battery show 44% after my first overnight battery charge following upgrade. So, with hindsight, I believe that I’ve repeatedly failed to charge the battery since upgrade. I’ve triple-checked all of the pins, sockets and wires and all look to be in good shape.

      Any helpful suggestions would be very much appreciated?%(%(%(#000000)[#000000])[#000000])[colored text]

      @lemur very wise words re backup and is of course exactly what I didn’t do. Lesson learned!

      It seems I have a very narrow sweet spot within which to engage the motor, which is easy to overshoot. Will get a sure start. Thanks for you help.

      @lia sure, I installed the 3 VESC programs. In fact my board is now working … it seems I have some footpad engagement issue. The point at which the motor engages has a very narrow sweet spot and is super easy to go straight over and past it

      Hi there - I’ve just finished installing this kit and felt quite proud of myself for not have to many left-over pieces of kit. However, while startup seems fine, I don’t get any form of motor engagement when I lean forward into ride position. Any helpful suggestions would be most welcome?

      The foot pad sensors are working fine, and the motor does engage when I test via the “flywheel” (VESC) option.

      Best wishes
