A friend made this for me. I made it into a sticker and added my first sticker to my fender!

I recently stumbled upon a a spiral challenge posted by @HanahsDax. So i figured I could take a shot at it. could use some work. Has anyone else tried this before?

Here is my costume, It took 2+ days of constant printing to make the shell and over 2 rolls of filament.


I then spontaneously decided to put leds into it so that took a whole nother day to melt/drill out channels for it inside the white bit of the shell


I was making changed to the electronics and the code 10 minutes before I left, but I think it turned out great on my group ride! I will also be in a night parade this upcoming weekend with a bunch of other people in my group ride group.
For now this are the best pictures I have with me wearing a Mario hat and Tanooki tail


Lia still wins by a loooong shot, but I won best costume out of my group :)
ohh and I was blasting mario kart music from a bluetooth speaker when rolling past groups of people in the city.

It allows me to empty my head when i get trapped in it...

Not quite my normal wheel but, there may or may not be some bonus secrets in this one 😘

Got an amazing opportunity to visit this incredible place, and needless to say I can not wait to go back >:)

@loaffette Alright hear me out. Get a Seeed Studio XIAO nRF52840 Sense. It has a built in IMU and could attach it to glove or wrist guard and have it detect when you stick your hand out one way or the other. Then you use the bluetooth radio to send a message to another controller that tells the lights to blink for turn signals. The XIAO also has a built in battery charge circuit for easy integration! https://amzn.to/3Rh30rc

@blkdout When I have ridden with them on paved sidewalks they usually lead the packs. Unfortunately for the XR riders the EUCs and GTs tend to ride faster and leave me in the dust :(

I figured the issue you are having with the lights strobing. In your pattern1 you have delay(10) which will only delay it for 10 milliseconds. I changed the 10 to 1000 for one second and here are the results.

I also recommend changing your "time" variable name to something else such as "timer". There are certain variable names that are reserved for other things.

Check out the Neopixel Uber Guide for a bunch of information about the leds and the library. For example you can set the whole "strip" to a color with a single line of code, instead of having to create a function to iterate through the addresses.

@loaffette haha which one @S-Leon's? I think it has something to do with moving the weight of the battery so that there is more torque before push back? Either that or I am just making stuff up and they just wanted a different battery there.
