GT Custom Shaping 3.0
-
Posted this in Haptic Buzz, but wanted to split it out to see if anyone else has some experience they want to share:
Today, I turned up the acceleration, aggressiveness, and braking to +2 and the board seemed almost the same (I ride Apex), so I still have some playing around to do with the custom shaping. I ride mostly paved paths and smooth dirt/gravel trails.
So that was yesterday. Today I bumped braking to +3 along with dynamic response to +3. Aggressiveness is +2 +3 0 0 ... so extra in the low range.
Low end torque I could actually feel and I like it. I think what made the most difference is the dynamic responsiveness +3. It felt like the board, at all speeds, reacted faster; something an Apex rider craves. I was a bit more wobbly while carving and hitting bumps, but I think I have to play with the lean settings. Dirt and gravel riding improved as well. Mileage did suffer. Used to hit 50% at around 14 miles and I hit it today at 12.2.
I ride mostly paved bike paths, but take a few dirt/gravel detours.
