Is this the standard rear pad?

It looks like I might need to change the grip tape, which outwardly looks fine but I came off the board earlier and it ghosted backwards into the kerb on the other side of the (thankfully empty) road. I'm looking at new tape but nothing seems to match the rear pad.

@theadman that rear foot pad is likely original… but the grip tape used is from the float.life so, not original. It looks like some is missing from the corners nearest to the tyre
I have the same grip tape and for me it works fine.
The set comes with 2 pieces. The one you have on the rear I put on the front with a bit of thin white vinyl under the F to make it stand out a bit more. I don’t get any sensor issues.
The other piece is full coverage, for me, on the rear.

Side profile. The tapes not missing, there's a groove I am not seeing in images of stock boards. It's pissing me off because it's inconsistent. I stop and hop off normally or heel stop, nothing. I come off when I don't want to and it runs off backwards. I was told the board had new tape when I bought it, I'm starting to think this was an attempt to fix a more serious sensor issue.

@theadman ok, went back and carefully read the eBay listing again like I should have done in the first place. The footplate is a concave PinkOak one. I quite like it, not looking to change it. I just want the thing to stop ghosting. Yesterday was kinda wet and shitty and the first/last time it did it it had a build up of gravel on the pads. Is this weather dependent, or is it from being jolted about? There was no issue with this at the weekend when it was a lot warmer and I rode nearly 12 miles.

Aha, I can see that now…. It does look like the stock TFL grip tape has been cut to suit.

However, there are no sensors in the rear footpad.
If you have a ghosting issue it will be related to the front footpad.
You have to be really careful and patient when changing the front grip tape.
The idea is to not pull up when you are removing it.
Pull backwards on itself, I usually use a hairdryer to heat it gently while removing it. Working from front to back.

Maybe there is some dirt or something under the grip tape at the front?
There may be something obvious if you look ?

Yeah, the concave will give you a more “locked in” feel I imagine. 👍

The front one is kinda scabby at the corners, I was able to peel a bit back easily earlier without any heat. Nowhere in the UK sells the front pad or tape. 🤦

@puzz360 ordered some tape and a few other bits. The tatty look all round is annoying me and the standard fender traps little stones and sounds like keys in a washing machine.
Do the side kicks only cover the side of the rails? If so I might put some black wrap on the top.Screenshot_20230713-183836~2.png

                    Nice.

The sidekicks will cover all of the exposed blue aluminium rails, sides, top and bottom.
There are a few YouTube videos out there with good advice on all aspects of OW mods/repairs etc.
Like I say, be gentle on you front foot pad.

Future motion still sell a set of front and rear footpads but they are not cheap especially shipping to UK.
You’ll have UK tax and import duty to pay.
